I really don't like homes that look a designer who just got out of college designed. Double Double doors leading to the Master is overkill, a bowling alley and a wine cellar like we are still in the 1930s or something. This house is for someone who just became rich and panic bought this place for 50 mil just to invite his employees and show off or something. edit: a lot of people confusing tackiness with luxury. Just because you can put something in a house doesn't you should, and very good designers know that. Houses are meant to be lived in and not gawked at. Yes people have been drinking wine for a long time but unless you have an impressive collection having a wine cellar is dumb. Maybe for a dude who made a website and sold it for whatever it would be a great idea but not for serious people.

@@balaalalaslk What? Double double door overkill, okay. A wine cellar is 1930s? Pretty sure humans have been drinking wine for many, many centuries. If you like wine, or alcohol in general, have a beautiful cellar is a great feature, whether its literally a cellar or a showcase. Nothing "1930s" about that. And as far as the bowling alley, obviously whoever contracted the home originally was into bowling. Whats wrong with that? People like to enjoy their hobbies in private, generally. If you like swimming, you get a pool for your home if you can afford it. No one in their right mind enjoys going to a public pool more than their own private one.

Q: How would you describe the architectural style? A: It's a very consistent, cohesive style. It's a Mediterranean revival home, with neoclassical marble accents, French chandeliers and sconces, a 1980s villain's living room, Las Vegas Art Deco dining room, a Scandinavian contemporary kitchen, a traditional American master suite with a padded be-chromed hotel accent wall, Bamboo landscaping, Crate & Barrel-style home theater, Beetlejuice's casino's home bar, and the Titanic's bowling alley if the Titanic's architect designed the ship while on psychedelics. I believe the vision behind this home and the initial mission was to be palatial and Mediterranean, and I like aspects of it, as is so with most high end homes I've experienced. The thick genuine wood doors and moldings, the large windows of wood, not vinyl, the bath fixtures, the wrought iron of the railings...those details are commendable, nicely done. But the execution of the space and the melding of multiple styles from transitional and contemporary to Mediterranean exposes some cost cutting even in a project such as this.... the kitchen is large but looks unfinished, the wine room/cellar looks like a store front and is garish. Home is expansive but doesn't live up to its exterior boast when examined closely, especially with the interior. Ultimately the home is devoid of taste and flow, and fails to be true to authentic Spanish/Italian design and layout.

For being an alleged expert in RE, I'd be happy to give him a Grammar 101 lesson, to wit: A/the balcony (singular) over look. A balcony that overlookS. The (plural) balconies overlook... Basic subject-verb agreement, usually taught in 3rd grade ... ?

@@ian1856 Alas, someone who made it past the 3rd grade... 👍 ❤ 👍 I was a Licensed Cosmetologist at 20, Salon owner at 24. I became a Licensed Home School Instructor when I pulled him out of the NON-EDUCATED School District for the State of Washington and a Paralegal for 30 years July of last year. My Soldier Son corrected Dan Rather's grammar when he was 8, in third grade. Mind you, Dan Rather was an international news broadcaster then, circa 2013. These people actually have journalism degrees in college? Ugh! Mom, he misspoke. That's correct, sweetheart. What did you hear? He said "____", when he should have said "____". Chalk mark for mommy! Yay. About that same time period, he asked me, "Mom, what does 'concur' mean?" Introducing a new menu item, he said, "Mom, my tastebuds do not concur". Another chalk mark for mommy, as I almost died laughing! He, his friends and Barracks Buddies all call me the Grammar Nazi. We then had a convo about not using those types of terms, history lesson, etc. 😁😎😁 Somethong about 10,000,000 killed, genocide, racism, etc. Knew that the word 'concur' had finally resonated when at the grocery check-out counter. Was putting the groceries from the cart onto the conveyer belt. Behind me were a few old ladies, engaging my son in conversation about the tabloids, magazines, etc. The elderly woman said something, and he said, "I concur". He was 8 years old. She looked surprised and asked, "Where did you learn that word?" "My mom. It means to agree." (but makes you sound more well-educated, son). Mommy points. It's nice to know that "something stuck", right? I was raised in the USA. You? Where do you live now (generally speaking of course. This is, after all, YT.)? Am retired now but, the last time I worked, I was paid $200 per hour, part and partially due to my command of the English language. Makes me grit my teeth just to watch/read local news channels, the BBC out of London, the NHK out of Tokyo, Japan, CNN, The AP Network, Barrons, Condè Nast, the New York Times, etc., ad nauseum. ... and these people do know basic subject-verb agreement, the difference between a split infinitive or a split doublet, or what to do when a compound adjective precedes a noun! Is there such a thing as UGH AND DOUBLE UGH? I know that there's "SHEESH AND DOUBLE SHEESH", right? 🤗 ❤ 🤗

Once read an interview on a music magazine where they were going to meet a big 60s or 70s rock star (can’t remember who it was now) and they were disappointed as weee told not to go to main house go to guest house - they thought he was being aloof and didn’t want them in his home - then when met he said he lived in guest house as main house to big but needed the security so uhe d big house for parties but day to day lives in a normal house - this house is like that just not homely
