this submarine is said to be comically bad by playtesters, but yeah its not a submarine at all, its a destroyer with homing torpedoes its mostly terrible because it has very short range, no hydrohpone, high detection which means it gets heavily bullied by destroyers and submarines

The Ping doesnt last long at all. 20 secs for a double ping is shit. The tech tree US subs can easily get that over 45secs depending on build. This and it's lack of Hydro phone for situational awareness make the sub much more visable (more pinging) and less awaire (easier to be run down. PPL who don't know how subs die shouldn't be doing reviews on them and calling them OP.

This submarine has a great history. It is the first submarine actually sank a japanese aircraft carrier, which is a yamato-class ship during ww2. The name of the carrier is Shinano. You can search in the website.

16:30 i've been top of the scoreboard plenty of times in a sub, with literally zero damage dealt to the enemy team idk the exact conversion on spotting -> base xp but it's high

I believe spotting is 1:1 with actually damage for submarines for base XP, but I’m not sure.

On a side note, I think it is good that you play subs to show WG how ridiculous they are when played by a good player. But then again, WG doesn't seem to care...

This is typical war gaming. They create a problem, then sell another problem to solve the original problem. Basically they gave us subs, now giving us a sub to hunt the subs with so now archer will be the only sub in the game Love the sarcasm though. You should play all the new ships this way. All sarcastic and happy. Back to shotgunning them broadsides with those non homing torps.

from a sub player with all the subs in the game and like 1k games. Dont ... just dont take it, subs are shit right now. You can only hit torps on extremely well paid actors. Also this one doesnt have hydro and its gonna be hard to " see " whats on the surface when ur not. Yeah its gonna reduce your submarine survailance and you can rip that enemy sub but thats nothing fun. 28k steel is just too much for a sub right now. The one sub that still plays this patch is the U-4501. And it cost's coal so its buyable.

I love how dumb people are around subs. The world of warships community is by far the worst when it comes to doomsaying around anything. This sub doesn’t look great, it doesn’t have the consumables to warrant the gimmick, and while a heal is nice, not often does it actually matter due to how anti sub gameplay works having a shorter cool down often doesn’t matter, as if you escape you’d be able to heal anyway. Overall this ship looks very mid, and I don’t see a strong reason to get it over other ships l. Also the f key activating instantly is only a downside, as it will trigger often without it needing to, which is why I think the short cost of it is ok.

I mean "review"? Just tank the playthrough. Then, all 30 players who watch this (which is actually about 75% of the total player population in NA), will assume the bote sucks and won't bother purchasing it?
