It arrived! I'm so happy with this bow. My shooting is much more accurate and smooth. Perfect draw length for me, and so nice and compact for horseback! Makes me feel like Superwoman. :D Thanks for the review, Armin. Really helped me narrow down a couple of bows that work for me. This one, and Kheshig from Alibow are working well as I develop. So different, and so exciting to try.

I think this video helped me settle on a bow, if they are still available, I will get this one, I had originally settled on a spearman, but I like this one better, thanks for all the great reviews Armin, they are very helpful, I wish you would show more closeup pics of the bows from nock to nock, a kind of slow walk around.

Armin - I watched your review of this bow several times and HAD to order one. As we reside in the same state - delivery will be in the coming week - can't wait. Additionally - based on your review - I ordered one of the Dyeema Flemish Twist strings from Dave Forcucci for use on my Istvan Toth Magyar bow - I was finally able to send some arrows down range with it today - very nice the way he's built his strings...

should the draw weight be printed on bottom or top limb? I could have swore i had read or seen in a video that it was bottom, but I just realized that the stingray leather arrow pass (which I only realised was a thing after seeing the grip get scuffed) was on the other side, meaning the draw weight would be printed on the top limb. does that sound correct?

I think overdrawing in horse archery is more a matter of arrow length. Having slightly longer arrows so you don't draw them into the bow handle. But the longer tips beyond the nocks could be more durable maybe. I don't know 😁 A nice bow. I like it.

Armin, enjoyed the review. A question on arrows. When you give arrow length is that in the normal way of measuring from the cut end of shaft not including head to the valley of nock? If so the 31" arrows you were using must have been drawn right up to the head. I normally allow 10mm or so of overhang when I'm making arrows, how much overhang would you allow if youre making new arrows up for a specific bow?
@ArminHirmer6 жыл бұрын
normal way. sometimes I do add a bit, like our range arrows are all 29" instead of 28", to have a bit safety

HI, Just like your thoughts on the bow hand torque technique, as it is the only method that works for me to get a clean arrow flight instead of arrow slapping the bow. The forward khatra does not work. Thank you.
@Finnv8936 жыл бұрын
Try the stiffest arrows you can find, spined for 100 pound+ if you want, and clean up your release. If you intentionally pre-torque the handle during the draw you are compensating for mis-tuned arrows or deficiencies in your techniques or both, not only that you are compromising your bow arm muscle.... it is however the most effective short term solution (you immediately see results) for anyone not willing to experiment with differently tuned equipments, since experimentation is way more expensive than buying cheap, soft beginners arrows (most of them are spined for finger draw on the opposite side); best method is to get a slow-mo camera and film yourself, most new smartphones have slowmo cameras. Not being confrontational so please don't be offended, just trying to help.
@BaeBox6 жыл бұрын
Hi BOB, I am also interested in this, I would really appreciate any help you can provide regarding any deficiencies in technique/release. It implies the arrow slap happens because of release problems, I was under the impression it is a rather natural thing happening due to the flex (spine) of the arrow.
@Scientist92216 жыл бұрын
Absolutely not offended. I appreciate your suggestion. You were spot on the point of compromising your bow arm muscle, it gets tired really fast. Can you please explain how a stiffer shaft is going to perform better (not slapping the bow)? Cheers.
