Its a blessing i found this video... youre so right when you said every neural dsp gojira review is about djent or metal... I play pop punk and easycore... im was choosing between Nolly and Gojira... the offspring and Blink Riff sold me... thank you for this video!!!

This is awesome. Exactly the kind of tones I'm looking for. One question though: what kind of guitar are you using with what pickup configurations. I'm guessing it's something with humbuckers? But do you have only the bridge pickup on or are you using both pickups?

Thank you so much for doing this video! I've been going back and forth between getting Nolly or Gojira for punk, pop punk, etc. I'm trying Gojira now, but can't compare with Nolly because I used the trial a long time ago. This was very helpful and your video was great. New subscriber 👍 High five for you ✋

This is literally me the 1st thing I do with the archetype plugins is dial in a pop punk tone. I've found the best result was on the nolly plugin because it has that classic Marshall sound and also a 6505 type amp.

I gotta get nolly!
@daggers91232 жыл бұрын
@@JulianGrimmMusic it's great! I'd definitely suggest doing the free trials on all of them to see what suits you. The petrucci one is definitely the most diverse and has the most in it. I managed to get a reasonably good punk tone out if it and it has killer cleans etc.
@travisjordan15282 жыл бұрын
@@daggers9123 the petrucci one anything I play on it right from clean download sounds like butter, even if I'm just sitting there hitting random notes. Nolly I haven't got around to setting up any sounds so it sounds.... not so good. lol.

Remember as well pop punk doesn't necessarily need to be really gainy especially with the palm mutes

I don't know what you mean, you're not a bad/crappy rhythm player at all?!? It sounds great to me. Of course, I may lack a connoisseur's ears though.(Ha!) p.s. I feel you on the Vox. The same thing happened to me. I pawned it and missed a payment. Bye-Bye Vox. p.s.s. I have the plugin and love it! It's a blast to play.

Hello man, got a new subscriber, want to ask how much gain do you put on the offspring tone, I HAVE gojira but always think that is to much for pop punk sound. If you can share thé preset would be wonderful. Thank you
@JulianGrimmMusic2 жыл бұрын
Hey man. It depends on your guitar and what pickup your using. You can actually have it fairly low gain and it can give you crunchy tones if you need. Make sure you have your gain structure correct from guitar knob to interface to gojiras input. Remember there’s an input knob in Gojira as well to make your guitar more mellow
@DanielGarcia-vh9zw2 жыл бұрын
@@JulianGrimmMusic Gracias Julian, Imma gonna try that and see what happens. Aditional I want to ask you, if you have any video or tutorial to make your home recordings more punchy, I mean when you record Guitars, Bass and Add MIDI DRUMS, sometimes dont feel with the punch like the lowend strong that make it sound bigger, dont know if you get me, hope yes. Thankss!
@DanielGarcia-vh9zw2 жыл бұрын
Hope you can tell me!
@JulianGrimmMusic2 жыл бұрын
That’s a tough one cause I think an amalgamation of all tutorials will lead you to get more punchy mixes and better low end. That’s the golden grail in the end. The main thing is to completely understand compression for punchy mixes. Over compression or under compression are always the issue with beginners. And for low end the tip is to not over think it, compare to other tracks and leave room for it to breathe in your mix. But again. It took me about 10 years to be able to get similar mixes to what the big labels release. So just be patient.
