My God this song takes me back to my early teenage days in my old neighborhood in Brooklyn New York. That song brings back so many memories of old friends and family and the good times we had. Hi CC, This is classic soul music made for dancing and moving your feet!!! That part that you recognized was probably from a track that another artist "sampled" from this record!!! This record "Tighten Up" by Archie Bell and The Drells was popular during summer block parties when the street would be closed off to cars and people could dance & jam to music in the street!!!
