Great show back in the day. My whole family used to all watch this show. We all sat together and watched it, talked and joked about it. Great show. Also, so many other great shows spun off this show or we created by the same producer and writers. We also watched all together the Jeffersons, Sanford & Son, Maud, Barney Miller, Manex, Rockford Files and Hawaii Five O. Back in the day tv shows were great quality shows. Nowadays tv show are dog crap. 🤔🙁🇺🇸🇺🇸

Archie never should’ve gone over to Trudy’s. He knew they were alright and just needed to cool off. He expected to take them home knowing he was the reason they stormed out in the first place because he has no respect for their property or privacy? How would he like it if they searched his closet and invaded his privacy? If he searched my closet and invaded my privacy, I’d storm out on him too. He’d probably say that’s different because since it’s his house, he thinks that they can’t invade his privacy but he can invade theirs, which is extremely selfish. If he doesn’t respect anyone who lives in his house, they’re going to walk out on him like this and he’ll be all alone with nothing but his cigars, his chair and his house. But how can Archie be wrong if they said they were wrong? That doesn’t make any sense. They were trying to put words into his mouth by trying to force him to say he was wrong. What Archie meant was blackmailing is a crime, but searching Mike’s closet was not a crime. I would’ve pushed Edith off of me if she hugged me after putting words into my mouth. I’ll bet you they were gonna try and celebrate but Archie just explained that he never said he was wrong and then stormed out if that scene had gone any further. How would they like it if Archie put words into their mouth?

Every now and then, members of the cast would sing, usually at the opening of an episode as part of the plot. This episode was the most musical of them all. Oh and O'Connor and Stapleton had rock-solid credentials to sing, they had been on Broadway! This is Mary Kay Place's first screen appearance; the "Communisim" song was written by her!

I’am watching this episode right now because I see that Edith is level 2 drunk and while the women are having fun , I’am taking a much closer look at their legs & discovering that they’re all wearing pantyhose’s in this scene because none of them are bare legged in this episode & this is for one damn reason because analog television didn’t have HD technology in the 70’s but today we have HD & Ultra 4K and 8K TV’s out there because if we watch anything on there now , Take a closer look if you see the legs and feet of any woman and see the difference.

LOL. Edith knew that Archie would never admit to being wrong, so when he was imitating the others by saying "I was wrong", she jumped at the chance. Edith, Gloria and Mike all knew that Archie had the upper hand. They would have had to come home whether he actually admitted to being wrong or not. Trudy would have gotten tired of Gloria's whining and Edith's yapping, and kicked them out. Meanwhile, Mike would eventually have been discovered in the basement by George Jefferson, and how long could he have survived there, anyway? He was so used to eating Edith's cooking, and the food Lionel was sneaking to him would never have been enough.
