Rashid khan has a very quick action also it's difficult to read him from hand because he relies mostly on Googlies

Flight is one of the most important skills a leggie must master. It is responsible for the drift and dip. Rashid is not a classic leg spinner. Too much speed kills the effect of spin. It is sad to see young leggies not following the footsteps of the beynaud,quadir and the king.

He's bowling fast for first class/test cricket, but many young spinners make their entrance in 20/20 now because it's harder to clear the fence against a leggie. But maybe it does compromise working on flight and guile. Hopefully he's working on that too. He's 17, an absolute baby for a spinner so plenty of time.

Came to say the same thing, he's obviously bowling faster and flatter as that's what he's having to do playing in the blast. Will be interesting to see if he can develop into a red ball bowler by using more flight and hitting a length consistently. Looks like he's givng Riz a lot of problems here though so definitely a real prospect to keep eyes on for the future.

@@CricketLifeStories England really seem to be producing quite a lot of talent in the junior levels across the counties ATM. If we could get the schedule sorted out so that red ball cricket is being played in August that would really help our spinners since that's when we get the most turn on English wickets. Also the current leadership across all 3 formats in the senior side seem very conducive for young players coming in to fulfil that talent. Long may it continue.

A leg spin bowler should focus on his ball's flight, drift, and loop which then results in a sharp speedy turn after the bounce. Young Archie is a brilliant bowler but he is trying to bowl too fast hence hence most of his deliveries lack the essential leg break ingredients. Its ok to throw in an odd fast ball to confuse the batsmen but don't make it your main style. Your main aim is to deceive the batsman in flight, remeber most batsmen grow up on a healthy dose of fast and swing bowling so its not difficult for a good batsman to adjust to your faster style, once you slow down you will see the results straight away!

Same action and pace like yasir shah this action and pace can only succeed in pitches where ball skids but not on current world cup pitches. Kudeep yadav is the best spinner because he gives the bowl more air and can also bowls slow to deceive the batsman with flight and dip. Rashid khan is the second best only mainly due to his devastating ghougly his leg spinners are like chris cain's scramble seem version it only spin an inch but sometimes it works because batsman is waiting for his inswinging ghougly 🙂
