I think the phrase you were looking for Jim is "built to a price". true equipment is alright they leave the service valves off for the same reason we don't see them on domestic fridges lowering cost per unit and reducing possibility of leaks through the valves. nice repair on the evaporator outlet they can be a real pain sometimes you got lucky it was in the front. I seen you found the down side to working with air-acetylene in an enclosed space as the brazing fumes get recreated the torch will exhibit interesting flam characteristics. great video Jim happy to see you take the time to make them for us.

Nice Job Jim, I have been using the Solder on my dryers to and on my txv's. I had a 12 door case, Two bad txv's called the teck line to get the number for the txv's and they told me to use solder, Don't braze the txv's. And they have been working Great. And yes the BAR help is Great to.

Arnie Grote I saw one video where this guy had a 1/2" sweat drier that he crimped down on to a 1/4" liquid line and he brazed it, to me that was horrifieing . thanks

I thought your supposed to purge with nitrogen when brazing because you will get a black soot material on inside of pipe that could potentially do damage?

***** Catering and refrigeration tec in Northern Ireland.I see a fair amount of True cabinets and counters.The wiring and the way they work with stats and timers is a little strange to us,You get used to True gear and they are very competitively priced,Keep on making the videos I enjoy them tremendously.There is always room to learn something or pick up a tip.

Lol that was a good one ***** Love the comments on the drunks. Lol. Nice work on the repair. Do you think Your charge was more because of the larger drier you installed?
@JamesPettinato9 жыл бұрын
Rob HVAC possibly, I never weigh refrigerant in, I've always charged by feel (temperature), amperage and pressures. thanks for the comment Rob

Great repair Jim, that did look like a pretty big dryer. Do u use the dryers with the service port in it?. It's funny isn't it every restaurant I go to they always offer me a beer.Keep up the good work Jim.

A&J Heating It was a 5 cu in, I like the sporlan with the shraetor fittings. I had to fix a beer keg trailer/cooler with taps on it, it was at a farm out in the country, when I got there it was a motor cycle week end party, pig roasts, tractor trailer flat bed for a stage for the band, I was initially a little worried, but I was there to get the beer cold so I was a hero, they wanted me to party with them till dawn. thanks

hi jim, im working on a walk in cooler and i noticed that the sight glass has turn black i never seen this before, so i was wondering if you have any advise, i like you videos and you do great work, thanks you and be safe out there, from san diego ca have great day

Sergio Flores when the condenser gets dirty the head pressure rises and the compressor's piston sleeves get too hot, then the oil carbonizes, this coats everything, you can put Supco 88 oil additive in the system or AC Renu in the system, that should help to dissolve the carbon build up.
@marriagepartnersministry59424 жыл бұрын
I would be more concerned with all the carbonization from lack of nitrogen and the flux that got introduced into the system creating cap tube restrictions and acid burnout in a couple of years.
@bushcraftchip8 жыл бұрын
#8solder you dont have nearly as much heat to get flow. Less annealing on copper too...
