As a fan of Architects' back catalogue, I think this new album is also fantastic. The hooks are massive, and there's enough classic Architects energy to keep things engaging throughout. Gatekeepers can say what they wish. You can't expect a band to make the same kind of music forever just because you prefer it. If you don't like the new material, just don't listen to it. There's absolutely no call for some of the hate that Architects have gotten over the past couple of years. I hope they get huge off this record if that's what they want. They deserve it.

@@idrinkmilk282 Holy Hell was a final ode to the style Tom defined, and personally i think all our Gods was their true peak since the songs in Holy Hell lacked the emotion and technicality of all our Gods but the band was not quite ready to change styles just yet. As an architects fan since 09, I think its refreshing that they no longer need to tie themselves to that style as they usually alternate genres every 2 albums or so any way (i.e. The Here and Now and after Hollow Crown was a big change) so that era had run its course by the time Holy Hell came out. This new era is exciting for an old school fan but hey, everyone is different.

Honestly don't know how i feel about the solo there. Like, I would have personally preferred a breakdown if i'm being brutally honest. However if i'm still being brutally honest, with every single architects song since doomsday, my reaction has been "I don't know how I feel about this." and then after about the third or fourth listen I end up replaying it just about every single day. I have probably listened to For Those That Wish to Exist in its entirety about 1,000 times since its release and I'm not exaggerating that number. I cannot wait for the new album. Edit: This song has been stuck in my head for the last week and I've been constantly replaying it. So my initial reaction to this was 100% spot on.

It is always amazing to me to watch bands grow as the age, get married, have kids, lose people in their lives, tragedy, etc. That is how you know they are great musicians. They take what is going on in their lives and put it into music. You might not get it now, but you will more when you are going through it. I'm older, lol. I love this band and I love hearing them experiment and evolve. None of these new singles hit me like Holy Hell did but I don't mind. Instead of putting out another retread of 2010s metalcore they're doing this and I much prefer it.

After listening to the new album, it’s pretty good. The last song be very afraid is heavy as shit. It was a very nice surprise that’s for sure. And it’s the heaviest on the whole album. Sam’s lows were a nice touch. There’s also a Blegh in the song spit the bone

Can we please acknowledge the guitar solo? That might have been the hardest hitting solo ever. THE TONE

That guitar scream is too good for such a short solo. I NEED MORE!

Their last few songs have not been it. This restores my faith in them

This tells me the new album will have at least one good song on it. :/ I give them credit for trying new things, I just don't care for most of the new things.

Deep fake was alright, but I’m definitely feeling you on that one. (Last album had some hits but was overall a bit eh as well, so this is refreshing)
