Also it’s rad to see the band let Josh scream and my only con with this song though was I wished that Josh was able to use his harsh vocals a little more because his screams work so well with Sam’s clean vocals

People hate change. Bands evolve and explore new things. To pull it off how Architects do is no mean feat. Look at how BMTH changed - yeah it isn’t for everyone, but they acquire NEW fans as well as retaining old ones who still listen to their old stuff. Metallica and the black album? Hardcore fans whine about it but still listen to it. Architects are genius. Superb songwriting. Power to them, seeing them sell out an arena last year was inspiring.

I'm loving this evolved sound from them! It's reminiscent of when Linkin Park starting exploring different styles in Minutes to Midnight. Each song with its own identity, apart from what they've done before but still distinctly them.

There are screams in this and I still don't think it sounds any good, so your point of contention doesn't work. Screams don't make a song good or bad, plenty of incredible tracks from metal bands without harsh vocals. It's when everything else doesn't sound all that great that people don't connect with it. Two of my favourite Architects songs only have a tiny bit of screaming and it's all at the very end, but the songs are absolutely mind-blowingly amazing leading up to that point. This isn't that.

I like most of this song, but the second verse felt like it wasn’t fleshed out enough and the chorus just seems very busy lyrically. Gonna take a while to get used to this one Edit: I’ve changed my tune. I really enjoy this song. It just feels different but it’s a good different

I can’t decide how I feel about the new direction. All Our Gods have Abandoned Us was so good. It was complex and beautiful at the same time. I’m just not sure I like the almost industrial aspect. Need to give it a full spin uninterrupted

Not sure about this. I liked the progression and change of the last album - a lot. Nearly everything on that album I liked. I've thought the singles for this new album are okay but this was erratic to me (which is almost an oxymoron as the original heavy sound was erratic). But the structure was lost here for me. Changes and the decisions felt made for the sake of it.

This band has always suffered with change of direction, less so on some albums but certainly there have been 1 or 2 where they really had a bit of a backlash... and I think probably because they were so good at certain sounds and styles that once they decided to change, selfishly as fans we want to hear more of what we love and if its not that, then its like self indulgent moan that someone hasn't done what you wanted them to do. HOWEVER I'm probably more on the side of others who can not get behind the new sound over their older stuff (and even then, that is like you're comparing various different sounds and styles over the years) but the best way I can explain, is to forget about "heaviness" or "its not as technical" and just listen to the music without bias and really think about what you are hearing. Example would be like take Deathwish from AOGHAU and play it instantly after this song and just listen. Its not about if you think you should or should not like it more, its just about what the differences are and if you're into the newer sound that's cool but I don't buy the argument of people just hating on the new sounds because its "new". There are clear and obvious choices the band have made and all the power to them for doing so. But I feel like in some ways its becoming a bit disrespectful for those who really appreciate; more so now probably the work the band did before and incredible talent that we all lost T//S.

I understand bands evolve and change their sound over time. I'll always love and support Architects, but for me this new sound isn't memorable or exciting. This is the best of the three singles, but still a bit generic and bland. Everything pre 2017 was amazing. Nothing touches Lost Forever // Lost Together in my eyes.

I think the new direction is great. I just feel like these three songs are soooo similar. The groove, the bpm, the melodies in the chorus. When they’ve got so many albums full of variety and unique songs, these three singles make me a bit nervous.

Did you just said that Holy Hell, All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us and Lost Forever // Lost Together are full of variety? I mean yeah Holy Hell have some different songs like Doomsday and Hereafter but????? It took me months so i could tell the songs apart and i still can't proper differentiate the LF//LT songs other than The Distant Blue I have listented to the album more than 5 times already

@@melanniegomes6106 i maybe meant more from a technical stand point rather than genre and vibe if you get me?(I.e BPM, grooves, the drums in the chorus's are all the same and the guitars are very static until the big drop in the bridges). The vocal hooks in the other albums are so unique imo. in these three singles, i dunno.. they feel flat and really similar in melodies and cadences. im hoping the album does have that variety though!

This is the weakest album Architects have released IMO. It's all generic, boring crap. I was so disappointed by the entire album. The audio effects all over it just add to the disappointment. It's the same nasty sound they added to parts of Animals. Architects have continued to evolve, but this wasn't an evolution, it was a complete flop
