This is the first song in a long while that I have enjoyed Sam’s melody choices. I’ve always loved his voice, but many of the songs on the past album or two didn’t stick with me. Other biggest pro for me was how much faster and more upbeat of a track this was compared to more recent entry’s. This is probably favorite song since “Animals”

Foop, this song caught me on my way home from work. What I loved most about this song was how the drums were felt through out the song, especially in the breakdown. After seeing Dayseeker live, Curse gave me a similar vibe. It's dancy in the chorus, vibey in the the verses, yet the distinguishing parts are found in the guitars strum and bends throughout the song. Then the breakdown comes in, the feeling of the drums and the rather low lows in contrast with the overall style of singing and frys was an intriguing switch up... just to loop back towards the last chorus with a fun dance of elements of the whole song to close us out was a Rollercoaster of a song to listen to for the first time after a long boring shift. This is quite energetic and a fun song. I give it an 8

The guy on the chat that said: "pop music", probably doesn't know what pop music is nowadays. Current stuff are so thrash, generic, AI generated, that makes this a piece of art. I have to say, it reminded me of a sort of mix between Linkin Park songs and some other bands like Bring Me the Horizon, don't know how to say, it was familiar. It didn't sound new, but it sounded good. I don't like to rate art, for me is "it sounds good" or "it doesn't sound good". This song actually made me want to sing from the first time I listened, as a singer, of course I loved it.
@helohnukwa7 ай бұрын
Great song and I'd also go with 7.5. I found it first by listening to an acoustic cover version by pauli which I actually would rate even with 8.5 because I prefer raw music over the lightly overproduced original. Anyway, it's a cool song!!! 😎

Yeah 7.5 feels about right. It's a solid track, but I think it's pretty well trodden ground at this point. With Fish in the mix, it would have been cool for them to lean into some more synthy stuff, bring in some different sounds and vibes, and push the boundaries a bit. That being said, I'm not too surprised that this collab hasn't reached the potential that's there between those two groups of writers. Takes a while to get that mind melding to hit strides with. Hope they keep working together and we hear some really excellent stuff in future. Totally a winning combo.

AOGHAU is the album where they started gaining more mainstream attention and it brought most of the "newer" fans into the fold. It's okay for it to be your favourite album, but it's definitely not "peak" Architects because it's just a watered down LF//LT and that album was truly where their sound peaked. It's okay, but still not at the level of Hollow Crown/Daybreaker/LFLT/AOGHAU/Holy Hell. The lyrics especially are not very interesting and honestly, kind of cringe, compared to their past material. The verses have that Architects vibe riff-wise, but it's missing the clean leads with the Strymon/lead guitar lines/atmospheric synths from their past material that created a very distinct soundscape IMO.

it's an enjoyable listen but my god is it relying on that catchy chorus to the point where everything in-between almost feels like filler to get back to it. As catchy as it is I can also see it becoming stale really fast. And no, not trying to hate here. I just think it lacks substance.
