This song is quite particular. It's basically pleasing all the people who complained about Architects getting less heavy since Animals with a "FUCK YOU". The lyric "We only ever love you when you're seeing red" means "We only loved your music when you were depressed and singing about your dead brother". Other lyrics also refer to the death threats Sam and Dan (singer and drummer) received especially since the album Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit. During that time some people even brought to the table Tom Searle (founder/guitarist/composer and Dan's twin brother) saying he would get mad about where his band went in sound. Like how dare you ? People who cried and shared their sadness with the band when Tom died, how dare you shitting on his memories and legacy ? So yeah this song is an answer to these people. What's funny is that it's not even the best Architects or Modern Metalcore song. It's pretty basic and straight forward but it got a BLEGH, Sam's harsh vocals, heavy breakdown so those "fans" are happy with what they got. Many probably still didn't noticed it was a song about them. Now while I really do believe this song is especially about the kind people I mentionned, the band didn't take well any criticism on their last album, even some that were quiet respectful and just, simply didn't like the recent work. I'm part of these people. I really like Deep Fake, When We Were Young and I believe Burn Down My House and A New Moral Low Ground to be some of Architects best songs ever, but the rest of the album doesn't work for me. And I hope Architects isn't doing something wrong by basically mixing together any people who didn't had a positive response to Classic Symptoms of a Broken Spirit.

I don't think this song was intended to trash the fans that criticized respectfully their last song. It's more an address to the people that were hateful towards them.
