Omg. My Nana, who lived with us, used to watch this from time. Being 6 or 7, I was never really interested in it. But I remember it being on and this brings back warm memories of my Nana.

Never thought I would see a DOUBLE Jackpot on any version of Bowling for Dollars...much less one of $3800 go off. Every market, including NYC had their version with Bob Murphy, later Larry Kinney gave away the money.

That lady sure knew how to bowl and strike hard to hit a high jackpot. 21000+ in today's dollars, about 10.5K split with her pinpal, that's nothing to sneeze at.

@josephwright1519 hi Joseph my name is Robert Steinmiller I saw the classic show bowling for dollars that aired in 1976. In Rochester Ny. Hosted by Ron Defrance. A bowler contestant named Karen house from Newark won the $3,800 jackpot. I had Karen as a Wayne county ARC instructor boss in 1984-1986. She was helping people try to be workers in the outside world. She helped me so much. You said she was still alive and was 73 years old. This was posted on July of 2024. To you tube and it aired on channel 13 . Do you know if Karen is still alive today. In 1976 I was 12 years old so in 1984 I was 20. Now on September 3rd I turned 60th . If she is please let me know okay. If she isn’t than I have a good memory of her from that show.
