The Shangri-las had a number of hit songs in the mid 1960's and then disappeared. The lead singer, Mary Weiss, was only 15 when this song was released. They were very popular for the few years that they recorded as a group.

The Shangs looked pretty demure in this clip. They usually wore tight leather, they were the bad girls of girl groups!
