I've watched the Carson show where Rickles came on unannounced when Johnny was interviewing Sinatra. It was amazing that as soon as Rickles came out, you can see Sinatra just cracking up in the background. Sinatra LOVED Rickles - he would laugh constantly at Rickles.

Don Rickles was my favorite comedian of all time. When I heard or saw that he would be on Carson that night, I would sure to stay up and watch. I love when the band played the matador music when he came out. .

I remember watching Lou Brock stealing bases in old Busch Stadium when I was a kid. The place was electric when he got on base and would erupt when he would steal second. Great memories. Thank you Lou. God bless.

I had the honor of witnessing Don in Vegas in 2001 or so. So funny. One guy from our group got called up on the stage with Don. I almost peed my pants from that stint. The guy was great too..deadpanned the whole match. So funny.

Rickles was in a rehearsal for a Bob Hope special once and came over to the Tonight Show in a sweatshirt and dungarees. After the applause died down, he told Carson, "I'm over there with Bob Hope. I'm helpin' the man move his furniture! He's got a show and there's a writer's strike on and Bob Hope's walkin' around the halls goin', "Help me, help me!' "

A true Taurus ( May 8th, 1926)..*..I was born on May 18th, 1963)..we can be " gruff" at times ( Bulls) but down deep...real deep, we are loving, happy souls! Just don't fuck with us!.....*..This was a great episode here! I loved when he gave Lou Brock his "props"

These old shows sadden me in a sense. Today, we have nothing to come near the folks of this era. Try to imagine "clean humor" today???? None comes to my mind! The stars then were real stars mega personalities! This is only one program. Ed Sullivan, Jackie Gleason, Red Skelton, plus toss in the westerns, cop shows, WAY to numerous to mention.
