Thanks so much for the review! Definitely looking at these as a cost-saving alternative to plastic minis and I think this sells it for me.

I have the DM curated set and it's great for having a wide variety of minis. It has a lot of PCs, a few Orcs, Goblins and lizard men. The undead are some skeletons, zombies, wraiths and ghouls. A few dragons, vermin and plant creatures. It also has some underdark denizens such as Drow and ropers. Having purchased some of the other sets, before, there were some duplicates but the ones from the DM set were a mirror version of the ones from the other sets . Thanks for this review. I do really like these, especially for portability.

Great review! I love paper minis for the savings on time, money and space, and this sounds like a good step up for a slightly more durable version. I also like the folios. I already have problems with my paper minis sliding out of the plastic sheets that I use.

These are awesome. I love them. I have found that 3.5 photo albums work great for the larger sized figures.

FYI -- ArcKnight CS will replace your worn/damaged mini for free, if you send them a photo of your damaged mini. They're cool that way.

Since my own painting skill Is somewhat worse than nonexistent and I find the Neowiz prepainted stuff kinda pricey (especially the deluxe ones) these are a revelation to me. The amount of useable stuff out of the box you get here vs minis at a comparative price make this a no brainer. Thanks for posting this!

It’s a great value for sure! I paint a lot of minis, but I’ve been focused on Star Wars figures lately. These guys make it so I don’t have to feel bad about unpainted or half-painted figures on my table. And they play great with Dwarven Forge!

A very useful review. I was looking into the DM set but $80 seems kind of crazy for what is just printed flat plastic. Seems like it might be worth it?

Thanks! Yeah, I can see that point. It’s a question of value. For me, I went in big so I’d get 90% or so of what I thought I’d use at the table. I figured in also the time I’d save by not having to paint so many minis to get the same value, as well as the cost of those minis themselves. The portability is also a huge boon for me. The art is top notch, also, of course.

Does anyone know how thick these are? The Amazon listing says 5mm, but they don't look 5mm in the video. I just want to know how floppy they are or if they are rigid (I prefer rigid)

I couldn’t say. 🤷🏻♂️ They don’t flop or bend unless pressed. I’ve never had a problem with them bending or going limp. The company could probably give you specifics.

What are the printable hero ones? Have you seen those?

I have the arcknight FPMs of some of those, but I’m not a huge fan of the different art style and muted colours. Just a taste thing. They do fill in some gaps in my collection, but I don’t use them much.

Hey, you still looking for translucent colored bases? I can hook you up!

How much is more or less the cost of a full set as u have?
@slightmisplay10633 жыл бұрын
Hmmm… I’d have to check, but my gut tells me several hundred $$$ overall. Not all necessary at all. But it’s my primary mini solution. I think i started with the grove, mankind, ancient evils, and wild lands.. so about $120? I probably wouldn’t get the cardboard heroes stuff again or the terrain/dressing pieces since I have papercraft, Dwarven forge, and bg pieces I can use now. I love the hordes sets tho. I always feel prepared.

I wish I liked the art.. I don't, it would wreck the aesthetic of my Dark Fantasy campaign. Pity that becuase I do like the idea of clear miniatures.
