I have to hand it to you mate, I never did anything like pipe welding when I was younger apprentice Fitter & Turner, but every bit of pipe work I do now in my own shop, is attributted to learning from you and your channel.

Good job mate! Instead of the Starret holesaws you could try Phantom cobalt holesaws, they are 8% cobalt and are awesome for stainless

Interesting video, good welds, but are you qualified in positional welding/site welding where you cannot easily turn the pipe to an easy position to weld it up?

An idea for your nitrogen bottles, could you get an alarm of sorts you can mount on it, that buzzez when it's empty/near empty so you become aware that you've run out?

were you using a shielding gas for the plasma or just compressed air?
@ARCONEWELDING25 күн бұрын
I didn't use the Plasma for anything on this job I only drill holes but the plasma cutter has a built-in air compressor

I do this metric pipework for a living there is no ndt bombing on these pipes.
@TwiztidPainАй бұрын
When you are the welder/fitter you do what you must do. There Is no wrong or right way. you work in a fabrication shop, not a specialty shop. The color doesn't matter, as long as you have 100% penetration with your beads tied in on each side. Man fk what others have to say, if they can't give you advice when you ask then they don't need to speak.

It’s interesting to hear how BOC kinda sucks in the UK, as it also does here in NZ. We moved to Air Liquide, much better.

The G5-01 Speedglas is quite heavy, that’s my biggest complaint about it, along with the weird perspective of the pool you get from looking through all the layers of lenses at some angles. Oh and the cost of consumables and spare parts is extortionate. Good helmet though.

Hey if it comes out alright who cares how hot you're running I'm an American price welder I get it the faster you get it off your table or your stands the quicker you get paid I absolutely understand but normally I'm running around 75 80 amps on stainless 95 amps that's cooking

It's just a single pass. I'd fit it all up and flip flop it too.
