Owned a 2023 Alterra 600 TRV Limited since January 2023 and its been flawless. Front locking differential on the Limited, Black Hills edition and mud pro.

It's a shame Textron acquired AC and neutered their lineup. XT trim used to have speedrack 2, front diff lock and other amenities.

Yeah, it hasn’t been very good. I don’t know why they didn’t at least use the newer gauge, I like it better.

no thanx- the clutchousing and 3/3 of the motor covered in mud and water!?? the batterie and fuel tank also in odd position?? ...the old ones had really some nice features - gonna keep long time ;-)

How do you check codes on a 2017 Arctic cat alterra vlx without a a screen

The VLX has a “Master warning light” that uses a sequence of flashes to indicate whatever malfunction it may have. The only other way to read codes on it is to get their CAT II diagnostic tool. I would get a service manual for it if you’re trying to troubleshoot any issues.

@@ArcticFrost it's got a no start unless you spray starter fluid in it and won't stay running. And the master warning light is on. So I wasn't sure where to go from there. Closest artic cat shop is 2 and 1/2 hours away

Sounds like it’s not getting enough fuel. You can hook an online fuel pressure gauge to make sure your getting 43psi from the fuel pump. Another thing to check is that the injector is spraying fuel. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWecininotija6ssi=CdVo_mjtERvgdXQ6

I replaced the throttle body with one off another running bike put a new fuel injector in it put it on the code disappeared but it's still no start I'm getting fuel to my injector pull the injectors cranked it getting a good spray I'm lost

So does it need 43 psi to start or just when it's running. Cause when I plugged mine in it was getting 12 and then was lower when cranking
