Hi friends, this is not a sponsored video. I purchased arctic fox periwinkle few months ago when my hair turned green from a different toner that I used. In this demo today, I will be using arctic fox periwinkle to tone my brassy natural gray hair which I didn't tone for almost two weeks. Arctic fox periwinkle is a semi permanent vegan hairdye that doesn't require a developer so that is why I wanted to try it. Enjoy watching!

Hello Lisa you are welcome! I have a lot of that periwinkle arctic fox. It doesn’t fade into greenish color, it fades to silvery or grayish on my brassy part. It is hard to find instore at sallys and sometimes online too so that is why I stocked up on it. I hope it works on your hair too. I am sick and tired of treating the damage part but when I think of how long it took me to grow my hair, it makes me think twice on cutting it. Plus I don’t know yet a good salon here in my area.. I share the feelings about the damage part of the hair (I have about 3 inches of orangy bleached color 😫) at the end of my hair that I hate too but no way I would cut it. Like you said, it takes to long to grow back. You could try adding bang, it would be nice, you can always change the style by playing with it and it doesn’t affect the length of the rest of your hair. Finding a good hairdresser is not easy. Mine lives 45 minutes away from my home and I always drive to her. I would not let anyone else tough my hair. There are great colorist on Pinterest that do fix problems like ours. The after is so beautiful, it’s like they always had had their hair like that. I was tempted to go see one to fix my 3 inch or orange. Maybe you could find someone who could dye your damage part the same as your upper color instead of using toner..... maybe it can’t be done, it’s just a suggestion.

My friend, from searching and searching what I know is that fixing the damage part will require bleaching. One thing that I wanted to stay away from. Also no matter how light the hair gets after bleaching and toning to silver, it will still go back to being brassy, and ocourse with the damage or dryness from bleaching. So I’ll just have my hair like this coz it is healthy even if discolored. I’ll just keep trimming until the damage is gone.

Aww, I see. I totally understand about the bleaching and damage. I definitely can tell what is my natural hair and what was bleached. Totally different texture and so dry. I guess we are stuck with living with it or cut it all off. I cut a bit off the bleached ends when I get a haircut but so little is cut, it will take 10 yrs before it’s all gone. 😁

You look fabulous I love your hair is gorgeous I am also transitioning I’m in my seventh month of transition and I’m loving it but I have a advice to give you that I heard on one of the KZbinrs that I follow as well to put some kind of sun screen on your hair like for heat protection and I found one in Sally’s by I am and that helps your hair not to get that way not to damage neither I’m just giving you a suggestion but you look fabulous and thank you for sharing God bless☺️💜💕

I just got one, it’s the thermo protectant from fanola but not sure if it’s the same as sunscreen for the hair? Appreciate the advise. I went to purchased the Artic Fox Sterling Sliver but they were sold out. I purchased the Adore titanium, this brassy hard water stain really is depressing. I'm going to try the Arctic Fox next.

It is actually my favorite toner now. I mix it with white conditioner, and it last longer than manic panic in blue steel. Also when it fades it is not greenish biut silverish. Yes i will do it again and i already bought five big bottles of it😊

Hello again Chaya. After my hair got damaged by chlorine, i don’t use toners anymore esp the ones with developers. That is what I suspect reacted with the chlorine and made my hair brown or brassy. After my hair got damaged, i only use toners like shampoos or temporary purple dyes mixing it with conditioners. At the moment my hair is already ok. I have cut/trim all the damage parts already. I dunno what toners reacts with chlorine. Maybe it’s just my hair or maybe it’s a bad or very strong chlorine. Who know’s.
