Obviously AOs are made for cold weather camping, but how do they do in summertime? Do they vent well enough that you could sleep comfortably in them on a warm summer night with a family inside?

Absolutely. Good ventilation and excellent breathability. However lots of lighter options for just summer use.

You have had a snow trekker, Arctic Oven and now an Arctic Oven igloo. Is the Goldie Locks just right tent? It's roughly the same weight as my Snow Trekker 8" by 10'' short wall. but should be more heat efficient with the double wall,

Well the yardsticks move. We are getting older and the kids are getting ready to take a stint at University next year. So I was looking for something for my wife and I, light and small enough to take on multiple conveyances, usable in all seasons and heatable with propane as Jane loves an even heat and not being cold. This checks all the boxes!

Yes, quite easily.

Thanks. I had the same question, re setting up with only 1 person. After watching the AO set up video, they recommended 2 people. It looked a little tricky attaching the inner tent to the poles if you're by yourself.

My buddy who does a lot of long camps for his caribou tagging business was disappointed in the Arctic Oven. He said it was great for over nights but said after a week or so it started breaking down and he had trouble with the tarp cover ( fly )

I am surprised. I have owned these for the last 20 years and used from Nunavut, the NWT to the Yukon.Never heard of durability issues but I guess it is always possible to get a bad lot of material?

@@north61 maybe that is what happened. He said it was during long periods in the feild.

Nope..it's gone. I now have the AO Pup and this Igloo. With the kids about to make the big move out soon we are downsizing.

What is your opinion/thoughts on the brand new Jim Shockey (sp?) 1 pole AO tent s that came out last year,? 2019.

Haven't seen one in person but fair or unfair the design doesn't interest me. I like free standing for wind stability and efficient volume.
