This New Years day will make me 3 years sober. I quit cold turkey on New years night 2021 and never looked back. I almost relapsed a few times and it was hard as hell and getting through the withdrawals was crazy. But this January 1st will make me 3 years and I am thankful for every day I am alive. I had to be realistic in my recovery and take gradual steps to improve my life. I had to trust the process not rush it. I learned over time to focus on quality not quantity. I learned so much from these past few years, and I am much wiser and stronger. I am glad to have learned from my past so it does not occur in the future.

I dont usually comment on videos but this is one gem of a content to ignore. This is straight up the best self improvement video I've ever watched. I didn't have any solid goal in my life, i was just watching self improvement videos just to feel productive and didn't do anything meaningful in life. What i wanted was an exact roadmap to make progress and find a purpose in life and boy it hit right on the spot. I've successfully managed to get phase 1 and 2. Starting tomorrow i will take action. I have a short term goal now which i really want to achieve and I'll update it 3 months later. I'm writing this comment to stay accountable. Thank you so much Kenny, for changing my life :)

1. Awareness: Become present through meditation and get rid of stimulation so you can see why you want to reinvent ys, how and why you can't reach goals. Find your core goal. For motivation think about what you want and what you don't want to remain. 2. Generation: Who can do what you want to do and what does he do? Try to see it. 3. Bridging: See the diffrences between you and the person who you want to become. Set different goals for different times. 4. Justification: Do what you planned in the previous steps.

My summary and notes on this video Problem: Unintentionally staying in the same thought processes of your current self. Phase 1: Raising your awareness through cultivating mental clarity Meditation- observe and let the thought pass. Destimulisation- KZbin, Corn, even Self improvement videos Write- what do you want then keep asking why to get to the core reason behind it. Figure out all the core whys and then it's goals. Now write down your shortcomings. Why are you not there yet? Even identify your shadow -> arrive at your core goal (purpose), ie, what YOU really want to do. Align original goals in line with the core goal. Drive- chase your core goal and run away from your old state of being. Phase 2: Generation It's the generation of your new identity. Q1. Who is required to meet those core goals? A1. You'll arrive at your higher self. Q2. What is required of him? A2. Write all the actions, sacrifices, tough decisions and commitments required from the higher self so he can attain the core goal. By answering these 2 Ques, you'll get the clearest picture of your ideal self. You won't just see your higher self, but also all the things he does, sacrifices, and all the goals he strives towards. Visualize it over and over again and introduce it into your subconscious. Phase 3: Bridging Take notice of all the differences between your current and higher self. Now create the Gap- its the difference in traits, habits, experiences, education, skills, mental health etc. This is not a to-do list, but use it to make a clear path to close the gap and it's done by have long term goals and many shorter-term goals like in a year, couple months, 1 month and few weeks. The short term goal should be clear enough to where you can see every daily task needed to attain it. Phase 4: Justification Postitive Feed back loops for the new identity -> cementing the new identity. This is done by adhering to the plan and role playing as your higher- self. Also avoid doing any negative feed backs of the old identity (bad habits). Be careful and aware of how other people might try to reinforce beliefs of your old self. You might have to cut some people out. Finally, you don't have to achieve all the goals. The main focus is to eventually raise your overall consciousness to that of the higher self. Thereby making it easier to attain any goal that you set
