While traveling across Australia i wasn't happy with my shower setup, so i got a beer out the fridge pulled up my camp chair and stared at the side of my truck for about 2 hours trying to figure out a better way.
This setup is what i came up with.
The quick pitch shower tent is expensive around $750 dollars so I've found a cheaper KINGS version of this tent on Amazon.

Game changer. .... roof mounted slide brackets that pulls the tent away from the canopy.. and pull your slide draw out to meet the shower tent... that way keeps the water further away from your car :)

Cheers for the run down mate. I’m going to have a play with mine and see if I can do the same thing but on some heavy duty locking drawer slides to try and centralise the shower into the centre of the canopy when not in use. Keep up the top content 🍻

A Great outcome ! Most times than not, it takes a few trips to sort stuff out but even then, there is always tweaking. I've been thinking of something similar for my gull wings when I build them (I have a Suburban & I'm going to remove the rear windows) I haven't found a good size shower tent yet so I was thinking of mounting my shower rose to the gull wing door (& like you, there would be a light there too) & having either a drop down shower tent or sides that attach to the gull wing & I would have my shower unit inside or at least swing out when in use. Necessity is often the mother of invention 😉(I guessing it took some "thinking solution" to come up with that? What I mean is, some of my best ideas have been when relaxing with a drink to work stuff out) Well Done! 👍

Using the Canopy door as shade from the rain while showering was a good idea, wouldnt want to get wet mid shower, overall thats sick and convinient with the draws as a shower shelf

Sweet idea mate I mounted mine to the canopy door and I run a Joolca H/W unit that on a slide that way it takes up less real estate inside the canopy. But as you said always tweaking 😂😂

I brought one of these shower tents but waiting as with most things after covid. Only problem i can see is packing it up wet and getting ur inside of the canopy wet. They might air dry fast however. Good idea mate something to look into when i get mine

I like the idea it inside your canopy, you said about a velcro for the hose and I was thinking why dont you attach the velcro to the little showerhead bracket you have? Might even be less chance of the bracket getting lost also?

That is a frikin great idea. I was brainstorming the shower tent position, and I really didn't.t like the idea of hanging the ugly thing behind the canopy. I would develop your design further by mounting handges instead of the L brackets so you can swivel the thing back up to the roof and get it away from the door opening. I will make a video about it when I get to it.

Do you know how it's setup at the moment, it's hanging a little over your tray? Have you considered fabricating a sliding mount (ie. drawer runners) so that you can pull it out when you want to use it and it clears your tray, then push it back when packed away?

It does a little but the tent is so big there’s plenty of room. You could put it on slides if you wanted to no doubt that world work well 👍🏼
