Great points. I do a bodyweight set here and there at home. I went plant based 2 years ago, which is lower calorie dense foods like potatoes, beans, rice, fruit. I barely exercise and am leaner and stronger than ever. 46 at the end of the month.

Potato Strong Plant based, well done! I eat about 1 kg of potatoes a day most days.

It's so hard to let go of the stuff that only makes one feel better ("killled it so hard!"), but makes me, personally, feel so good now I've tried for some months how minimalistic true efficiency can be! Good point on the cardio subject also. I'm sorry for all those folks thinking that that's what they need to lean down, neglecting that a little less indulgeance here and there might be what would really work. That probably sparks a lot of false assumptions. I think everyone knows those not-lean individuals who can be seen jogging (and consistently, often) without changing at all.

I do 2-5 workouts every day, the longest I will go is 10 minutes but they're usually less. I also do various stretches or try out new stuff I pick up cuz I'm always researching. It's a great way that works for me and I never feel dread, I can't wait for the next one!

Great example right here OGM, I do very much the same thing myself.

If you know how to workout, ten minutes are enough for one muscle group. Try 10 minutes push-ups, or pull-ups, or squats..... Even if you take some 30-40 Seconds breaks here and there, you are going to burn those muscles. For me 15 minutes is perfect. 15 minutes every day is what I need. Of course,15 minutes less than 6 times a week may not be enough if you want to hit many muscles (upper and lower body). What bothers me with short workouts is that I feel stronger if I warm up well and I need at least 5 minutes to warm up very well. Sometimes I get into pushups and pull-ups without warning up, no time. That's not ideal. If you have little time you can't even property stretch afterwards.

Thanks. No possible excuses! Yeah. I can certainly find 5 to 10 minutes. But...my dreams for winning the Mr. Olympia contest might not come true. Wow! Simple idea on diet! No brainer. Funny that I've never heard anyone say it like that!

I find that combining my favourite outdoor activities with the purpose of a cardio workout is a great way to kill my mojo for the activity in the medium to longer term. I can't be a rare breed in this respect can I?😬
@OffGridMadMan5 жыл бұрын
No you're not rare. When you take the focus off the pleasure and onto the "cardio" it removes the FUN! I fuckin hate "working out" in the traditional sense but I practice every day and love everything I do.

I found that exercise helps with weight loss but DIET is the key. And it does not need to be draconian but small substitution and portion size and I Lost over 30 pounds.

So how do I know if I had a good workout for muscle growth. I go until I cannot complete the full set anymore. Which is usually let’s say 3 sets of 10 perfect form weighted pushups
@RedDeltaProject4 жыл бұрын
Such a good (and smart) question! I will answer it in a full video soon, but the basic idea is do you know if you made your muscles work harder than normal. in what way did they perform 1% better than before?
@jon6363748 жыл бұрын
Hi matt. when it comes to recovery would it be correct to think not in terms of "of my god my arms have to recover from that last workout" . but to think of it as "my body/system has to repair my arms and whichever muscles also got hit by that exercise and then the next exercise."??? and its going to keep its own timetable on how long that takes. I've been thinking about this because the body as a single organism isn't going to prioritise a single body part for recovery but would see to the recovery of the entire organism and would it ultimately slow recovery and lead to systemic fatigue (?). if this is correct would it make a case for a split routine and or veterano type programme as your body only has to recover from 1 or 2 exercises and can do it much easier. I'm hoping I've made sense with this
@RedDeltaProject8 жыл бұрын
Yes, very good points to ponder. Of course it all depends on a number of factors in recovery like lifestyle and age.

for the weightloss .... do 100 burpees a day in the morning (15-30mins depends on how fat you are) and you will see results .....unless you eat 5 pizzas a day ^^

Matt i am getting older and even though i lost 50 lbs last year i am still at 285 lbs. Would short routines be good for heart health as well as strength building?
@RedDeltaProject6 жыл бұрын
Can't hurt. When it comes to weight loss, I like to use a variety of approaches. Long and casual activities like a nice long bike ride but also short workouts that are intense.You may gravitate toward long or short workouts over time and that's fine. Best of luck James and keep me up to date on your progress.
