The reason why I’m into the 90s Japanese cars in the U.S was because of Need For Speed Underground. I remember I started playing it in 2009 and I was just was in kindergarten and I didn’t know what I was doing but I found it fun. I thought the cars in the game were cool because of how they were customized. Also, the first 4 fast and furious movies made me like the Japanese cars. Every time when I see a rare Japanese Car like a Mazda RX7 FD or a Nissan Skyline GTR on the street or passing by, I get shocked because it’s rare and beautiful to look at in real life. My dream Japanese cars is a Nissan Silvia S14 and S15, Mazda RX7 FD, Nissan Skyline R34 and R33GTR, a Honda Prelude and a 1994 Honda Accord.

For me it’s the FD RX7. Not only my favourite Japanese sports car but it’s also my favourite car of all time in general. I’m really into time attack and wheel to wheel racing but I haven’t started my racing career yet but in racing sims I really enjoy driving this car and I plan to build and race my own someday. I love the way they looks and sound. They handle amazing in sims and from what I heard they handle similarly irl (handling being the most important thing in a car for me) They have amazing aftermarket support. They are the perfect car for me. Can’t wait to get my own

The after build is definitely worth it I thought mine was never gonna end constantly thinking if I'm just wasting money and should just sell it. When you got Harley guys telling you got a bad ass car you know your changing the car culture world.

The FB, FC, and FD are all some of the best that their respective eras had to offer. The FD is still one of the best looking cars out there today. I recently imported a Cappuccino and it gets more smiles per gallon than my Miata ever could! I'm looking at bringing in a Celsior next. Toyota turned the market on its head when they came out with the Celsior/LS400 and set a precedent for what a luxury car can and should do.

The R34 has always been one of my favorite vehicles. For all of you readers out there wondering, no, I'm not a 12 y/o fanboy (I'm actually 15). I actually like the R34 for what it is. Here me out, this is one of the few cars that started it all for me. There's just something about the look of the car and the beautiful, amazing sounding RB (especially the RB26). It is probably not the smartest idea to buy some skyline for my first car, but I'm highly considering it.
@JosueHernandez-nu5cp3 жыл бұрын
Hehe it’s not happening those prices are too high for a first car :(
@uhaveamnesia2 жыл бұрын
Would definitely recommend getting something reliable under 10k (at most) and start maintaining/modding that and seeing how you like doing that (that way if you also get to learn things before going straight for the skyline). You also have to think about part availability and the tools you need to buy to work on the car. Gas prices are also pretty high almost everywhere so Skyline may not be a good daily. Unless you already have a daily car in case your skyline breaks or have the $$$ to do everything then ignore anything I say lol
@theninethrees80442 жыл бұрын
I’m not a pessimistic person and I do hope one day you’ll have one, but the reality is far different unfortunately. I was 15 too about 13 years ago (yes I’m old) and when I was in high school, R32 and R33 Skylines were just becoming legal here in Canada and back then (before social media) seeing one in real life was an EVENT! prices for 32 & 33 GTRs were going for $10K-$20K CAD and by the time I grew older and was actually able to afford one…I couldn’t. So I imported a 98’ LanEvo V instead. There are far more interesting and fun JDM cars out there, don’t get caught up in the hype. I was wippin that Evo way before Adam LZ ever had one. Now I have an MR-S and next year I’m thinking of importing an Evo 8 or 9. Look for the hidden gems, you won’t look back.

The answer is yes. I bought a USDM 1992 Honda Accord coupe (CB7), BUT in JDMLand, my car came there also as a LHD model titled U.S. Accord Coupe from Honda. So, technically I can turn my USDM model into a JDM model with a couple of options and trim pieces, of which I have acquired. To others, it's just a Honda Accord but when you start looking closely or the obvious (fog lights, corner lights, bumper pole) you notice it's something different but familiar. I love it. Every 300 zx owner loves their cars until they have to do maintenance on the engine then they regret the day they bought them. However i do love the way it drives and looks

300zx 2+2 TT. The 2+2 to me is the best looking car from the 90s. Lower it slightly, get some nice wheels and tires, and add a slightly aggressive front bumper and its perfect looks wise. For power you can get to 500hp with the stock internals which to me is plenty. I just need to be able to take down all the stock mustangs driving around the KC area lol. The engine for sure can be a pain because of no room to work but if you take your time and be realistic about what you need to do it can be amazing.

I like the GT-R Skyline Series, mainly for thier timeless designs and all being powered by engine so powerful that even motorsports had to ban it from being used. Also the very pretty paintjobs like Midnight Purple III, Bayside Blue, Gun Metal Grey, etc.

I have a JDM 1998 Subaru B4 RSK Twin turbo 280hp but now 330hp. This car is a sleeper and I do the 0-60 in 5 sec. Plus the car is dirt cheap paid $2000 because it is underrated.

It's the feeling of them, they look great. It's Frome a time where technology and reliability was in good balance. It doesn't matter if other engines ar more powerfull. They are cars that makes you feel. You want to look at it and you want to walk backwards every time you leave the car just to look at it as long as possible. The thought of the car waiting for you in the parking lot when you get off frome work makes you smile. Then it do not matter which car it is as long that it have that magic feeling. It's like finding love

After seeing it's B2B episode, I felt in love with the Autozam AZ-1, maybe I wouldn't fit on it, BUT DAAAMMMNNN How fun it looks, the whole concept on it and how unique it is by itself, makes me want to, at least, drive one those bad baby boys. Wingul doors, turbo, awesome cornering, I'm sure is really fun to drive, nad I would love to test it on a track.

I personally own an r33 and have no regrets. My friends own chasers and supras and the biggest difference between me qnd them is how easy is it to get parts. 1j and 2j engines will absolutely blow an rb off the road but good luck finding parts because everyone is hording them in japan, while an rb there is so much aftermarket support in Australia, europe, uk, CA, and usa i can have a part within a week while the toyota guys qre waiting for months. (For anyone wanting a 300zx i have 3 friends that have them and i have hellped them take the engine out and reinstall, their opinions stands its 50% maintenance 40% trouble shooting 10% driving, if you think the rbs are notorious for their oil problems you just wait to see how much headache a 300zx will give you) evos and 180sx are 50/50 some are good reliable cars other will make you want to scrap the car. Subaru boxer engines are great street racers but are a nightmare to work on in the engine bay so unless you want to take the engine out every time you want to service it i would steer clear. I have no experience with rotorys sorry mazda owners. Anyone lookimg to buy one of these cars keep in mind on how hard it is to workon the vehicle because like he said in the vehicle these cars will spend a decent amount of time on jacks buyers be wear
