Are AI Cartoon Channels RUINING YouTube?

you know, i was initially gonna leave a comment blaming KZbin for pushing these AI channels as being the reason for why I've tried to mimic them, but you're completely right. I chose to try and take the easy path to success, and I can't blame anyone for that but myself. 5 years from now, I'd rather be compared to creators like LS Mark or Blooms, whose voices have a purpose, rather than generic Family Guy summary channels. So thanks for the reality check :) Also for the record, I dont use AI, I've just always been really bad at writing lol

I'm actually a little conflicted at "the easy path to success", this may actually be the only path. I see people who make amazing edits, not talking about drama, not having "X situation is Y" and they don't blow up. The only videos that blow up are old ones like Marisa Stole the Precious Thing, or Drama channels, and I don't want to do either of them

As far as I see it success is entirely arbitrary, the only difference is that this AI slop, drama reliant political channels, and all those others like that? They're a ticking time bomb. How long until the audience stops caring? How long until you say some stupid shit that puts them on blast? How long until you yearn to add personality in a setup that mandates a lifeless machine? Those aren't questions the former have to worry about. If anything, what drama comes there way usually benefits them in the long term.

I was literally just talking to another KZbinr about a South Park video essay channel that has been getting a bunch of views lately and seems to be using AI to at least partially write their scripts. I got in contact with one of their editors and learned that these types of channels have entire teams of people from all over the world working on them, that run multiple channels all doing the same thing. This is a huge rabbit hole. It's why I appreciate channels like yours, with actual humans who are passionate about what they're doing.

It's crazy how deep it goes. You can throw the scripts of random videos in ai detection software and it'll give flags everywhere. Most of these services get bashed for false positives though so maybe I'm just paranoid 😂

Honestly, thank you for informing me. I was ignorant. I had no idea that these guys were just AI generated channels. I am 100% going to stop watching their videos and ask KZbin to not recommend their channels anymore. Add “Scribl” and “GREEN DISNEY” to that list, you can tell their descriptions are even also written by ai. And weird speech patterns on green disneys community tab, is what made me think about it more, sounds nothing like what he says in videos. Calling us “lovelies” and asking people to “write to him” instead of comment, just sounds like foreign English speakers, similar to how Indian call scam guys say “my friend” all the time.

I think Sweaty Clam and Flynn Theory are real people, if not simply because they were a few of the first, and to me it read as simply wanting to talk about their favorite adult cartoons and share them with their audience. Even that "Good Tips Every Day" guy seemed more legit at least to me cause I've never seen a content mill channel have a "favorite character," and his seems to be Quagmire. you should make a video about "Ceric Artman" "Somer Himpson" and those other channels. Seems like a very deep rabbit hole and these channels are run by a team, with mass produced and AI content. One of them is getting insane views and nobody is noticing how obvious it is or calls them out. At first I thought they were copying the main one, but it seems they are produced by the same people the editing style can't be mistaken, and they often mispronounce very obvious words every fan of the show would know.

@@slushhhhh Greter Piffin, is another one that is less than two weeks old with the exact same format/editor, there is another cartoon channel that just created a couple days ago named Scribbl, only 33 subs atm, this one looks a little bit different in editing style, but almost looks professionally made in a similar way despite have low views atm. I can't tell if they are doing anything against TOS, but it's pretty obvious there is a group of people making channels and hopping niches to mass produce content like this. Very strange

God youtube is a hellscape riddled with AI now and it's ESPECIALLY horrid when it comes to shorts. I swear there are like 10.000 different channels that only upload AI voiceover for reddit stories and no matter how many times you say to youtube to never give you this channel again another one will pop off because they are so low effort! Part of the problem is that Good Cartoon Review channels are very rare, since most are shit like your attempt to list good channels ; Jhonny 2 Cellos ; LS mark ; Blooms ; (unaware of Lydia to be fair) ; Are some of the worst youtube channels in general that I can think of, often low quality shit with bad politics sometimes, unbearable. These Channels succeed since they fulfill the category of decent background content, when the well of content is empty or full of shit. No Commentary is better than bad commentary. Not a fan per se of the content farms, but can defiantly see why they are more liked than the crappy channels mentioned above.

opinions and all but of these channels the only one i even remotely relate to "bad politics" Is LS mark the sense of saying "damn this sure didn't age well" on a fat people joke on a 2000s but still that's one time in 20 videos, i don't think they're amazing (of the first youtubers he mentioned Kitty monk rambles a lot and few LS mark videos are half slop) but i don't see how anyone could watch channels repackaging google articles/AI slop that barely relates to the subject of the vid over them
