To my ears these 3rd Gen Air pods are more comfortable compared to the newer Pro version with the soft gel tips. kzbin.infoUgkxgl8SzyQoymMu-S3V55Dskg5QJ8xr1yCR That said, compared to the 3rd Gen, I notice these do not stay planted in the ear as well. One design issue I think, is you squeeze the stem and click it twice to advance your songs. On 3rd gen you tap the large speaker. The difference is by grabbing the stem each time, you tend to loosen the bud fit in your ear. Not always, but the bud falls out a few times while running. The old tap to change never had that problem for me. I would not have changed that tap function. That said, the newer Pro version sticks in the ear, almost airtight if you want that. I do not like that Airtight fit. So that's why I'd stay with this version as the best trade off of comfort, use, and overall feel.

Spudinske so I have an iPhone and I use air pods pro, when you take one out of your ear the music stops playing and goes to off, then whenever you put it back in it will automatically go to the one you had before which is either off, noise cancellation, or transparency

With in-ear earphones, the ear pressure issue has bugged me since the 2000s, but I’d long since resigned myself to it. While a reduction in that sensation may well be a feature of other products, this is the first time I’ve ever heard a reviewer mention it. In any product I was already considering, it’s definitely a selling point for me. In fact, the main reason (aside from fewer available phones with headphone jacks) that I was even looking into wireless earphones is that awful feeling and sound in my ears when I accidentally tug on the wire of wired earphones. Knowing that the buds themselves will also feel better in my ears, I can finally justify the price.

After a couple weeks, connection is a bit buggy. Since Android has dual audio it sometimes doesn't volume sync so you will have to repair them to toggle to max volume. Lack of indpendent volume toggle without buying an Apple watch is troublesome.

@@adrian8967 Thanks to bluetooth 5.0 they connect every single time. You only have to pair them once that's it. Everytime I take them out of the case I get a connection notification. It's not the sexy Apple one and it does not tell me the battery life either. If you're willing to deal with those two things you'll have no issues.

Like I mentioned you lose the animation when you pull them out of the case (like what you see on the iPhone). You get a quick notification letting you know they're connected that's it. Overall, I think it was a good idea because why wouldn't you want a quality top tier earpiece with your top tier phone.

I use a galaxy S8 and it works perfectly ! Don't even need the pairing mode. Just open them and connect them. Noise cancelantion and transparency mode works wonders. And even taking one Airpod pro out of your ear will stop the music :D

@@SaltLifeGeo yes you can normal functions. Double squeeze next track, one squeeze answer, play/stop etc. The Noise Cancelling can also be switched on/off. They sound very good, connected them to my iPhone XS and I prefer the sound coming from my Pixel 4 XL on them. (Got rid of my S10). Get them you won't be disappointed

I'm not buying the airpods pro unless they come up with a better battery. The battery just dies after 2 to 3 years, there's no way about it.

I just bought these to replace my first gen Air Pods which I absolutely loved. I use them with my Huawei P30 Pro and had no problems. However now I upgraded to the pros and even on max volume they are so quiet. I paired them to a work colleagues iPhone and I played the same track on Spotify and it sounded phenomenal. About half volume was louder on his than full volume on mine. I'm very confused at what the problem is as my old Air Pods worked great. I'm thinking maybe a firmware issue with ANC reducing my hearing of the music as well as background noise via android but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

I got the same problem on my p20 Pro. I found kind of a work around by setting all frequencys of the Equalizer in the settings to max.

Update: I found a better fix in the developer options. Go to Settings>System>About phone and click the build number 7 times. This activates developer mode. Then head to Settings>System>developer options and turn "Bluetooth absolute volume" to on. Then reset your equalizer and restart the phone. For me this doubled the volume which the air pods are playing at.

the only issue i have is that sometimes i can listen from only one of them. and i have to put them back in the case, close it, and open it again. sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row until i can listen from both of them
