Luckily I pre-ordered the adapter! Phew, I've heard retailers are actually discontinuing them... The entire bundle plus the Link amiibo was about $120... the most I've ever spent for a video game. I'm not really gonna get any of the rare amiibos unless there is a bonus that interests me. Mario Kart 8 gives you cheap racing suits (I never use my Mii ever!) and Hyrule Warriors basically gives you a consolation prize every day. I also don't use it that much for Smash because I like to either play by myself or with friends so I only include them if I've got a spare spot open. Still, so far they beat Skylanders or Disney Infinity any day. And who knows what's to come? It's like physical DLC! Anyways, great video, and as always, I'll be sure to leave my super-long responses to your videos. Also, dual wielding Samus amiibo ftw! It's actually cool in my opinion.

Nice call on the adapter! I'm not too sure if Nintendo will 100% discontinue any Amiibo, but it seems they're definitely stopping production on the adapter so I'm kicking myself over that still. I know what you mean with lack of current support, but I'm sure as they continue expanding the library, amiibo's roles in future games will be far more extensive. Like I said though, I think it's definitely just best to get the one's you love and not worry about if they'll be worth anything or not. And yes, double canon Samus is probably the coolest defect I've seen so far (think of all the metroids she could blast XD)!

I have 9 so far, Yoshi, Link, Mario, Samus, Marth, Pikachu, Captain Falcon, Villager and Little Mac. All of them are unboxed and I use them regularly when I play Smash. I hope that once all the characters have been released they'll cycle through them so there will be a regular supply of all of them so people can play with the characters they want that they might have missed when they were first released.

Funkermonster Yeah, I figure that Ike, Megaman, and Sonic will be rare. Shiek, and Toon Link will be semi-rare. Bowser, and King Dedede will be common. Exclusives will obviously be extremely rare. If you want to figure out how rare a figure will be, go ahead and look at this site (Nintendo Consumer Product Safety Improvement Certificate): en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/11021 The site informs you how long each Amiibo was manufactured for. The more months in manufacturing, the more common it will be.

Rumours say there will be more amiibo of a different base. If you look at the base, It is SM4SH. It could be a Yoshi Egg (Yoshi woolly world.) or StarFoxU (Starfox Logo) So in either way, I am happy.

Just so everyone knows, Super Smash Bro's writes data onto an Amiibo, however Mario Kart 8 only reads the data the Amiibo already has. So you can use one Amiibo for both Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Bro's.

i think some of us know why this is happening: scalpers. buying a large portion of something to make profit off it in a higher price. there really should be a limit for buying amiibos, and i think there's a petition going on for that too.

Where I live, I'm lucky to find a Kirby or Yoshi. I have both of them now but haven't seen them in store since. I was lucky enough to pick up the last Zelda at my local Walmart, which is the first of the wave two amiibo I've seen in stores.

Here in the UK, the Holy Trinity aren't all that Rare. Marth and Wii fit trainer only cost about £20 a piece (original price is £13). The villager with fetch about £35. But little Mac, Shulk, Dedede and Rosalina are pretty Rare.

I live in the U.K and I was at my local game store and I saw new figurines called amiibo. I thought to myself "I've got smash and I know they are compatible with that game." So I picked up a random one which was lucario and the cashier said "Your lucky that is one the last of the last ones". Personally I didn't give at first so I just levelled it up to level 50. I looked online and saw that it was a store exclusive and when I looked on eBay and amazon these things were definitely high priced and when I saw vids on youtube apparently they were rare. Guess that cashier was right.

Of the ones you listed, Meta Knight is the only one considered truly "rare". However this is only in North America as Best Buy/Nintendo kind of botched the release, although apparently more are on the way!

Currently Diddy is closer to Fox/Samus in terms of rarity. He's much more plentiful than Pit and Little Mac, but certainly not as popular as Zelda. I'd have to say he's around a 5-6 in terms of rarity, with Marth being a 10 and Mario being a 1. I've heard it also varies depending on the area you're in! :D

Amiibo that will be rare in the future: All of Fire Emblem, Earthbound, Game and Watch, R.O.B, Duck Hunt, since those are the less known serries

A personal tip for getting amibos that already sold out, order them from Japan. I get meta knight early because of it. Also are you guys getting them all, because I am!

Yes, they are super rare! I had to go to target, best buy, AND toys r us and none of them had captain falcon!
