Except there is no ideological component to the statement "everything is made of atoms". Ignoring the fact that it is factually wrong (or only true with caveats, as we see here), materialist reductionism / reductive materialism is a worldview and phylosophy, whereas the pure physical observation that everything must follow the laws of physics is not ideologically or morally motivated.

@@RuthvenMurgatroydnot just tended, but do. There was a nobel price a few years ago where someone unequivocally proved that local realism doesn't exist. Particles dont just appear probabilistic to us, they dont just appear accessible through equations, they fundamentally are. The way you interact with a particle can determine its real properties. Thats not a feature of observation, but a result of the interaction nessesary to perform the observation. Before this interaction, particles true form, as counter intuitive as this sounds, is probability. There is no particle unless you interact with it, but there is a probability of where a particle is most likely to exist, and with what properties. I am not sure what year exactly the nobel price was handed out for this, but it was fairly recent (as in the past 10 years). If im still up to date, the last one was for attosecond physics, so start looking 2 years ago if you wanna look into this edit, it was 2022, i looked it up.

This actually happens in nature with megafauna. Giant animals, specifically Blue Whales, are able to fight off cancer with cancer. It's called super-cancer. Essentially, a tumor gets a tumor, and the second tumor sucks all the nutrients out of the first, killing it. Without a way to continue growing, the 2nd tumor dies shortly after, resulting in net zero cancer.

Everything is not made out of atoms. Example a Neutron star. An atom is protons, neutrons and orbiting electrons. A Neutron star is ca 95% neutrons. Shadows is the lack of information, so no. Not made out of anything. Unless you count the atmosphere your in or empty space energy fluctuation. However the shadow itself is not made out of anything. Which is also why it can in some settings from a point of view travel faster than the speed of light. Even if its just an optical illusion. Dreams are indirectly made out of atoms because your memories are storied in mater made from atoms. If you remember your dream, it is stored so in essence your dream is made out of atoms while it is stored. However dreams are not created from atoms directly, but via fired electrons in your brain while it functions. Paraquat, a chemical, is made out of atoms. :P Atoms are not made out of atoms, but neutrons, protons and electrons and each protons and neutrons are made out of quarks. Three of them in a given orientation that dictates if they become a neutron or a proton. However all matter is made up of atoms and the only difference is the number of each electron, proton or neutron. A same proton amount with differing neutron amount is called an isotope of the same matter. These are the easy questions. The hard ones are when they ask you something you learned in primary or high school, but never used again and therefor forgot because it holds very little interest... :)

I absolutely love it when kids go on questions about questions. The best thing you can possibly do if you aren't certain of the answer is, "You know what? I have no idea! Let's find out!" And go online and look it up with them. It doesn't just demonstrate that you're very interested in them and what they have to say, you're teaching them it's totally ok to say "I don't know" AND you're teaching them how to be media literate and do research. It's so good for them. And tell them what you're doing and why. I'll say, "You see that result? It's from some random person and that's their opinion. But look here, this one is from a school, and so we can trust it better, and see those tiny floating numbers? That's telling you to go to the very bottom. So that's a ². Let's see... Ok do you see that ²? Right. And that's telling us that is where they got that information. So they read this book. And now you know that's not just someone's opinion. Other people have checked it. So, is this better? Or the first one?" Take the time to teach them stuff and do not forget to teach them how they can learn on their own. It's truly invaluable.

@@ziljanvega3879 Lol just because you're media illiterate doesn't mean the rest of us are. The internet DOES have the answers. That's literally my job. I write and do research and run projects. I don't need to be told there's untruth on the internet. YOU need to learn how to tell the difference. Because the kids can. It's very simple. You don't find it on social media. There are trusted sources online and you can cross reference the answers you get if you're unsure you can trust the source. But there's no reason to mistrust the internet. That's silly. I really hope you're not out here telling children they can't research online because they'll be back soon to tell you that is all they do in school, and their teachers showed them how to use it properly, and those kids are going to prove you wrong and how simple it is to find trusted sources. You obviously just don't know how to use it. Which is sad and baffling in 2023. Hopefully the children teach you how once a competent adult teaches them.

@@bartpitt2991 nowhere near as much as other shows do - it was more that they tried to bring the show back after a few years' hiatus, and with the kids being older, their characters felt a little off. Shadows themselves are not made of atoms. Shadows are the absence of light in a particular area where an object blocks the path of light. They are a visual effect caused by the interaction of light with objects. When light encounters an opaque object, it is either absorbed by the object or reflected off it. The area behind the object, where the light does not reach, appears darker, creating a shadow. Shadows do not have a physical substance or structure of their own; they are a result of the behavior of light. While the objects casting shadows are composed of atoms, the shadows themselves do not consist of atoms. Shadows are a phenomenon created by the interaction of light and matter.
