It has been postulated that sophisticated societies should require less governance yet we do the opposite. I do not want to hear that i cant own something like chickens in my rural/suburban area nor do i want to pay a fee to register my bees. Next i will have to register my compost pile and have it inspected for temp and bacteria cultures. Train people how to act right and let them be free

Most of this is down to the political landscape. Producing cheap food and plenty of it. They don't care what goes into it. If honey was a major part of our diet like fruit,eggs,or bread things would soon change. Luckily I'm in Europe were there's currently another vote banning Roundup and it's harmful chemicals, and there's also a push especially in Ireland to plant a natural habitat with clover ECT.

So as long as large chemical companies give money to these government parties this chemical problem will be next to impossibe to solve . California refusing to buy grain with traces of chemicals is a good start . Taxing beekeepers to register hives is just wrong They should be paying beekeepers to register them if they want to track the hive count for whatever reason . Join hands and class action is whats needed .

Excellent conversation. Now that Bee Informed Partnership has closed down, who is going to track colony losses nationally? If these data don't exist, it will make it even more difficult to respond to claims that beekeeping is in trouble.

We’ve kicked the varroa can for 40 years and have made little progress due to lack of selective breeding. If we get bees that can thrive in presence of varroa, we can better evaluate losses from pesticides and herbicides. I have bees in my apiary and have corn across the street and maybe they aren’t affected as much by it because they have access to native sources of pollen and nectar.

I am so glad Ross brought up the native pollinators (and other insects) and birds, etc. also being affected by pesticide over use. Bianca is right on about so much that needs to change and that education is part of that. Anything monoculture based is always doomed to fail which is big reason why such heavy pesticide use is so prevalent.

Great video as a first time bee keeper (1 hive hopefully 2 and 2 nucs 2024) I've just emailed my seed supplier requesting information regarding what their seeds are treated with. I will be picking the non treated options for 2024. I only plant 600 sqft for personal use but my hive is in close to my vegetable garden. I've also emailed my provincial Apiary Inspector inquiring about our provincial stand on treated seeds.

Mminute 42:00 you touch on the 2 mile proximity between beekeepers. Is it fair to the new beekeeper who is told they cant have 3 hive because you have a neighbor with some count (20 -2000 hives) within 2 miles? Should you as the guy with 2000 hives reduce your hive count to make room for the next generation? I notice this because i recall a vodeo made a few years back when you were endorcing the proximity legislature on your video.

Good conversation ….I brought bees back to my farm 3 years ago, I do not treat my bees with commercial bee treatments for mites and have been yelled at by beekeepers for that reason but I will not put another toxic chemical out there in the soup to add to our problems when no one is acknowledging or looking at the long term picture… we had bees on the farm as a kid as did many farms but in the sixties when canning companies starting aerial spraying fungicides on sweet corn fields and the practice of chemical spraying weeds spread thru the fifties and sixties with atrazine, 2,4,D , DDT, alaclor, and one of the first soil based insecticides, Thimet….we started loosing bees overwinter and so my dad gave up on the,…I’m an old farmer now I have seen all the changes in AG …genetic modifications of seeds started in 80’s and began its rollout in earlier 90’s first in soybeans and then slower in corn but around 2000-maybe 2002 where in one year they pushed the genetically modified corn down everyone’s throat and the seed available to farmers went from conventional corn to genetically modified. The year this happened the percent of available seed flipped from conventional corn 90% / GMO 10% to GMO 90% / 10% conventional corn thing I didn’t hear mentioned was chemtrails in the sky and effects of EMFs …this occurred about the same time as another major world event that stole our freedoms with a good sounding Patriot Act then tic tok…….open your eyes yet… Bees need water to survive like everything on earth maybe we should clean that up ….why are we still poisoning our water systems with fluoride…it’s a toxic waste by product created by chemical production dating back to the early 1900’s. So create a problem and supply a solution ….no should be consuming fluoride and it’s lie that your teeth need it…scientifically it does do one thing which is create a film inside your pineal gland which is your connection to source. The manipulation of numbers to give the outcome or answer they want you to believe is what mainstream science is about today…it’s not true science…..getting beekeepers to put poison in their is akin to mandating untested vaccinations upon the populace… True science should be asking is there active terraforming of earth going on in the skies, why is our world being filled with toxins on purpose…. Why would anyone invest in solar panel projects to harvest energy from the sun when they have openly talked about and practice putting nano chemicals aluminum and barium and others into our atmosphere to block the sun? With no discussion on resources and energy required to implement and the mass change to the natural environment I say all of this not to tell this is the gospel but please open your eyes and mind and seek truthful education so we all can change for the betterment of all.

Neonicotinoid use has been linked to adverse ecological effects, including risks to many non-target organisms, and specifically on bees and pollinators.[9][11][12] A 2018 review by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) concluded that most uses of neonicotinoid pesticides represent a risk to wild bees and honeybees.[11][13] In 2022 the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) concluded that neonicotinoids are likely to adversely affect the majority of federally listed endangered or threatened species and of critical habitats.[12] Neonicotinoids widely contaminate wetlands, streams, and rivers, and due to their widespread use, pollinating insects are chronically exposed to them.[14][15] Sublethal effects from chronic low-level exposure to neonicotinoids in the environment are thought to be more common in bees than directly lethal effects. These effects upon bees include difficulty navigating, learning, and foraging, suppressed immune response, lower sperm viability, shortened lifespans of queens, and reduced numbers of new queens produced.[8]

@CrazyIvan865
@CrazyIvan865 5 ай бұрын
Yep. The same Bayer/Monsato/Bill Gates owns the farmers and has them by the balls in contracts. They own the politicians. They own the USDA. The Beekeepers associations, the labs that do the testing. They own the scientist through the funding for research. They own the media. And they also own the shell companies that market and sell their poison "miteicides/acaricides"... there's no such thing as a miticide or pesticide. There's not even such as thing as an insecticide. I don't understand the people who you ask "okay... so it kills the mites, it's harmful to you or me if we breathe it, get it on our skin or clothing... UT somehow it's perfectly safe for the bees with no negative effect?" And their answer is "bees aren't humans, just like bees aren't mites". It's just like "fleat treatment" for dogs. It soaks into the dogs skin, circulates through the body, poisons the fleas and ticks, I can't get even a drop or a residue on me skin. But it's perfectly safe for the dog? But look at the rate of animals dying of organ failures, cancers, mysterious deaths where they encourage the owners to get them cremated. Cremation how do you dispose of evidence? You turn it to ashes. Poison is poison. You put poison in the hive... you can't harvest that capped honey because the poison might have soaked through the wax capping and that "minute traces" isn't fit for human consumption... but what about the honey and Bee bread in the brood chamber being fed to the bees and larva? Think any might soak into that?

Mr Rainmaker here it's a cocktail of many factors happening at the same time and you're only addressing one or two of them there's others that are playing a cascading event that is collapsing the hives first of all the sugar water has no bang for its buck that means the bees are eating sugar water if that was the case then the bees would just go out and find sugar cane and eat sugar from sugar canes they are not they use nectar therefore it has fought properties in it that the bees used to fight off the varroa Mite but if you feed them sugar water the whole damn time there's nothing in the sugar water it's like giving them gasoline with no octane and it has no fat in it so therefore you are killing the bees because they can't fight against the varroa Mite because they don't have enough fat reserves to fight it and other contributing factors like the beehives are an insulated the bee farmers are breeding the Queens just to go and get nectar not and not cleansing habits of each other all they do is make bees to go become robbers thank God I'm not doing that and I've got all my hives through the winter so far and their insulated I'm going to do a video on it soon okay thanks for listening to my battling
