"Fresh" to the Nurgle roster as well as Warriors of Chaos factions tilted toward Nurgle, the Bile Trolls offer an enemy melee attack debuff the faction has long been looking forward to while bringing a very tanky, offensively clumsy, armor piercing regenerating unit fighting for Grandfather's glory. Nurgle has a lot of great ways to spread some aoe debuffs around. Bile trolls add onto that, helping debuff the enemy into oblivion.

It's a help certainly. I'm not sure how impactful until I see it with much more offensive oriented units (relative to Nurgle).

@@OffToBattle one thing that's important to consider is that through the gifts of chaos, WoC lords have access to bile trolls as a gifted unit. Imagine having bile trolls of nurgle as a mobile anvil debuffing enemy melee defense for Chosen of Khrone Dual Weapons. Hot knife through butter.

Been playing Festus since he can turn rank 6 chaos trolls into bile trolls - which in itself is awesome. Man have I enjoyed having 3 of them right behind a main line of 5 Nurgle warriors. The huge uptick in AP damage, extra mass, and added debuff adds a good punch to the front line. Nurgle may not have gotten the Death Star units like land ships or thunderbarges (plague toads pale in comparison), but the added units and mechanic reworks have been quite enjoyable.

I'm glad the tweaks to the roster have been very productive. I think these trolls will be great in the middle of the pack, helping the rest be deadlier.

On the troll part: i noticed a few changes to general trolls. Greenskins can recruit them in ,q turn at t2 noe and i think their stats have been tweaked as well. Maybe Worth a look? Also i m not sure but it feels to mw that the lore of the little waaagh hsve been buffed but i hsvnt played it in ages and now the spells just feel better all around.

Well I know minor factions I didn't "see" the waagh of is now very visible to the eye, but yeah, I'll probably need to poke around more. I'll see if there's another hotfix tomorrow too. So much to do as a youtuber, so little time.

Ah, well if you mean in general then I doubt it's changed since my Greenskin days: never alone, always hitting the backs and sides of armored infantry if possible, mileage varies against other stuff but with proper heroes/ lords providing leadership, they break less than you'd expect. The AP is the key to the role. ...Bile Trolls just have so much defense it alters the usual script.

They make great pseudo cavalry. Cycle charge them so they can take advantage of the regeneration and use their speed to flank the battle line and mop up ranged units. They will beat most cav that doesn’t have anti large in a 1v1. Use them to pin cavalry then rush in your actual anti large units clean them up quickly.

Think of them as shock troops. Their extra speed allows them move around and flank or get to other engagements. They are NOT sustained fighters (unless heavily favored in a match up) - you should have them disengage and move to where they are needed frequently. This will keep their leadership high and allow their regen to heal up the models before the next engagements. Tldr they are moderately micro-heavy unit to get the most out of them.

I wish bile trolls weren’t tied to the recruitment building where they dumped all the mediocre units like plague toads and chaos spawns.

Cool unit. They have an interesting role to play. Maybe they could get an extra 10 leadership to make them stay in the fight longer and less likely to rout.

It's funny how they didn't rout for me here at all and this isn't even a campaign battle. So for campaign balancing I think they're already pretty good.

I'm sorry but I think these trolls should receive a debuff Look these trolls have 1 handed weapons and their weapon strength is somehow equivalent to ice trolls and stone trolls which both them have 2handed weapons instead of 1 handed It is hilarious In fact, their weapon strength should be in line with river trolls which is around ~80-90 not around ~110-120 Their weapon strength is even more than minotaurs and they have access to contact effect as well So they should be more like crypt horrors not stone or ice trolls in the weapon strength department They are a bit OP just like any other stuff that CA put in this DLC for the 3 races

That's an interesting thought. Nurgle got many units that can put out high DPS in this DLC- Ogres, Toad Dragon, even Pestigors to some extent. I think that putting their damage in line with River Trolls will give these guys a more focused role on the roster
