I was a fat slob, and I changed everything 3 months ago. No more drinking, smoking, pharma, sugar, anxiety, etc. Every time I tried to diet in the past it was all about "what I can't eat." This time I made a short list of "what I can eat." Eggs, meat, heavy cream, butter, lots of spicy peppers. I'm down 42 pounds (no cardio, just weights). It's been shockingly easy too. I usually eat once a day post workout and I can eat as much as I want. The reason carnivore works for me is it's simplicity. I can stick to it. No cravings, no fatigue, just simple. Once I reach my maintenance weight I may integrate occasional fruit (like once every 3rd night is all I can handle now without backsliding but I try to avoid that). On nights where I feel I absolutely need sugar, I'll squeeze a lemon or lime into a glass of water or I'll make a coffee with heavy cream. Those two tricks have been helpful in sticking to it. For all the people who advise against carnivore (for performance), I think it depends on goal & heritage. For example, my physiology, when I eat carbs I get absolutely starving for more of them. Before I would eat a 6000 a day calorie diet no problem. Now it's hard to hit 2600. Plus I'm a natural, so as long as I'm making strength gains (while I lose weight) it's hard to want to change. I'm actually really thankful people like Mark have talked about their success with the diet because now that I've tried it I might never go back. If so it will be with very little fruit intake for explosion.

Good vid with lots of different opinions. I have insulin issues from eating garbage and drinking alcohol for a while, so I’m doing a high protein keto for now. Maybe after a few months I’ll do a Kraft insulin test, see how I am, and then maybe start slowly reintroducing carbs

I am on carnivore since May of this year. So far I have gained about 14lbs of mass, mostly muscle mass and body fat as well. My goal is to get big, just like Dr. Baker. I'm currently near 150lbs so I still need about 100lbs... Will eventually get there, no rush. 🥩💪

Dr. Baker is a large framed guy and also on testosterone with genetics that cater to his hard efforts in the gym, you're results may be different than his. I enjoy animal based eating more than any form of nutrition but was also a clean vegan for years prior and both yielded a lean and muscular physique but my friend on carnivore for 3 years has not gained beyond a certain point even though he's 13 years younger. I lift half as many days as he does and train a lot of ultra endurance for cycling and trail running yet maintain all muscle at 195lbs. Not a brag but just shows how genetics play a huge role in conjunction with the effort and diet or PEDS as well as sleep and stress levels. Focus on optimizing YOU my dude and don't compare yourself to others results. Keep at it and stay motivated.

My gas has reduced by about 95% on carnivore. The few that have come, always in the morning, have been completely neutral. Lmao I'm serious... I actually "hot boxed" myself under the covers multiple times (for scientific purposes of course) and I did not detect anything. I ceased that experiment because I didn't want it to look like I was some sort of weirdo who actually likes to smell their own farts 😅
