@@ano3478no….sorry, but I been watching dud’s shorts for a year, and this is the first time I’ve heard him speak too. That’s the EXACT reason why this comment is getting so much upvotes. Why would anyone make this exclamation if we hadn’t seen this judgemental youngster speak for a long time. Think, McFly, think. And what’s wrong with being new here? Is being new in a gym a bad thing too? You gonna run around discouraging people the rest of your life? Is that how you have fun?😂😂😂😂😂😂

id say its a good variation! if the normal version is getting stale after a coupke weeks or months, you can try the crossbody and the novelty will aid w some gains. you can also start doing other forms of curls, cables, incline, ez bar, etc

YOU’RE the guy I’m always talking about. I like his instructional videos that adds context as well. See, I’m not a newbie. I was winning state championships in Olympic lifting before this kid was born. He’s definitely educated and knows great hypertrophy techniques. I used to criticize this dude HARD for his old videos where he just sneered at everything showing nothing but disdain and disappointment and judging nitpicky techniques, with no added context. It can be VERY intimidating and discouraging for people like yourself who are new. I am so happy to see this talented great looking healthy young man effecting positive energy into your life. I knew he had the knowledge and potential to be amazing. Looks like he’s on the road!!!!❤

THIS IS THE BEST SHORT YOU’VE MADE!!!❤ Edit: I love the hand position on the bottom of the upper plate. It allows the brachial muscles to take more impact than the forearm. Great technique

I prefer crossbody because I’m able to balance better when switching hands vs if I was doing both at once. This also means I can do more weight for cross body. So I think it might be “better” in that regard 🤷
@aydenbagwell28893 ай бұрын
The explanation actually came this time 😮
@MisterChunkah2 ай бұрын
Mmm I’ve always done cross body and I’ve always felt it more, traditional never gave me the squeeze I was going for except I don’t just rotate my shoulder I also push my elbow forwards a bit once it’s rotated so I’m basically curling it on an angle up towards my chest and that’s where you’d actually feel the squeeze the most up to a 90 degree angle. I learned this several years ago when I first started out and realized I wasn’t training it as best as I could the traditional way
@l.BeefCake.l4 ай бұрын
Cross body curls help to isolate the brachioradialis and other forearm flexors more. The standard hammer curl works mostly the long head of the bisep. A better variation id recomend for forearm flexor isolation is the reverse concentration curl. Crazy forearm pumps
@oscarestrada62764 ай бұрын
it trains other parts of the muscles and flexors better, it just adds to the overall growth of your arm, but it is not something to do religiously as regular curls and hammer curls are the main gains.

@petrkalashnikov24304 ай бұрын
Crossbody hammer curls dont allow to curl at the same time. So while you curl with one hand, the other is resting. That means, that youll take more time to reach failure, and muscles will get less stress and stimulus for growth because of that rest
