How do I find a Carrier to lease with?
@Estronguista2 жыл бұрын
I disagree, not all carriers have direct lines with shippers. The main reason O/O lease on to carriers is to save on insurance costs. I would even argue that shippers that have consistent routes pay less because they have a “system” in place. You can fine better rates on the board, if you do the work.
@Gill222 жыл бұрын
You definitely can which is why companies utilize load boards and reject contracted tenders during peak spot rates. However, look at what’s been happening recently. Shipping costs at all time highs, leading to less appetite for risk among carriers, leading to less tender rejection, which ultimately leads to no spot loads. The spot market is very volatile and should only be utilized strategically. The main focus should be on growing your company and building your fleet as quickly as possible when the spot market is booming and then leverage your size into contract rates.

Great videos, I'm from Pakistan and I'm in trucking. I want to open a small trucking company in America, do you know of any examples of people operating trucking companies in USA from other parts of the world?

Most dispatchers steal drivers or owners operators information and booking loads or double brokering
@alisthomelife7 ай бұрын
How are they able to do that ? I'm cautious to add a dispatcher to our company
@Urgondragon Жыл бұрын
Talking about my own experience , freight dispatchers are not even on the US , they can use your MC or DOT to do fraud or double brokering , i will recomend if you have your own Mc to dispatch yourself .

Gill, you're sharing too much knowledge with these hate mongering fools.
@Gill222 жыл бұрын
haha maybe but I'm just trying to help small mom and pop businesses that desperately need this business to work out. my parents went through really tough times in this industry early on and i don't want others to go through the same pain tbh

I don't see how he is sharing too much knowledge! I hate when people in this industry think that this is all about THEM AND NOBODY ELSE UNLESS SOME ONE IS PAYING THEM FOR INFORMATION... People that think that way are just SELFISH and should get out of this business!!!

Yeah truck capacity is in great demand due to the national supply chain crisis which i’m sure is affecting the brokers and shippers negatively but is massively helping carriers.

What about brokering and dispatching to build your fleet
@Gill222 жыл бұрын
I always recommend taking it one step at a time. Instead of trying to be a jack of all trades… become an expert in one, then become an expert in another adjacent skill, and so on and so forth
@most57952 жыл бұрын
@@Gill22 ty sir. My perspective is that the hardest skill but least investment is brokering then dispatching works offof that. Driving is the easiest but requires most investment so that order would give a bootstrap approach to building a complete logistics/ delivery company

If I get a dispatch company how get may pay
@Gill222 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry I couldn’t understand the question. Are you asking how do you get paid if you hire a dispatching company? When you hire a dispatching company, you pay them. The money will go through your accounts and you will direct deposit/pay them cash/write checks weekly or bi-weekly or at whatever frequency you agreed upon.

Is there a list of trustworthy dispatch companies?
@Gill222 жыл бұрын
There's not a list of any sort that I would trust. Just traits that you want to look out for. Always ask for load rate confirmation. Like the ACTUAL document provided by the broker. If they refuse to show you, they're probably taking money off the top.
