Are Flip Phones a Fad or The Future - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 & Z Flip 4 Overview

My wife has the Fold 3. It's a life changer for her. She can see what's on the phone much easier, flipped open of course. She carries it in her purse so size/weight is not an issue. It has replaced her kindle and things she used to on a PC she now does on her Fold 3. Yes, it seems crazy expensive but it has value to her.

That's great to hear! I loved using the Fold 3 last year when it came out. Based on your experience do you think the Fold 4 is a worthy upgrade or a generation to skip?

@@getconnectednow It would be an $800 upgrade assuming she could get the full $1000 trade in for her Fold 3. As her use case is mostly web browsing and KZbin along with phone calls and text messaging I don't think an upgrade would be worth it . If she was big on photography or playing games , then an upgrade might be worth it. Even then it's a tough sell.

Exactly. Getting the Flip 4 for my wife who can't abide the standard large smartphones and wants something compact to carry around.

@@meijiturtle3814 I've pre-ordered a Flip 4 for the same reason. My slab phone is big and while that's great when I'm using it, it's not great to carry it around.

There are so many people that would still use their flip phone if they could. Proportion have to change a little. - and price.

If you are in any kind of light or outside, I find that the crease is almost always visible due to reflection

Persianlly. If you got the fold 1 and maybe even 2, then worth an upgrade. Just for faster, better camera, water resistance nothing mega crazy.

The Flip phones is what was old tech but became new again due to the clap sound. The folding tech actually was an inspiration fromt he TMobile MyTouch & at the same time, opening a hard cover book. Like its more vertical when the Z fold is closed. My big o fat hands can grip it much better. Its expensive as hell though. I guess that's why we have credit cards. LOL

Things just keep going in circles. Years ago, we wanted smaller phones, the we wanted bigger phones. We wanted compact phones, so the clamshell came out. Then, the clamshell lost popularity. Now.....

Talk about a €1500 ($2000) phone is kinda silly! Give reviews on phones regular people can afford! This is just to much!
