Current player, but considering quitting. Official is mixpack Hell, and Community is power-tripping admins and groups associated with admins. I have been associated with admins before, and their ego definitely gives an impression that these people need serious help and support in real life. The majority of them always chat it up in global chat non-stop, and you can sense the desperation in needing validated by their group/community. Favoritism is rampant and they let those they're close with get away with rule breaking. One instance was when I with an admin and we 3rd-partied a group just because they felt like it. Another was banning someone for not agreeing with their stance, and the person was banned due to "toxic behavior". I still play in the server because the rules are decent, but I switch to local or group chat now because global chat is not something you want to read if you want to enjoy the game. They had 2 servers, but the second server died because there weren't a lot of players coming into it. If that doesn't give you a sense that the game might be losing people, then I don't know what will. I am just waiting for a new game to release so that I may invest my time into a more enjoyable game that is not Path. I tried The Isle and had my fun with it. Left it for Path for a different experience and the community is the same. I've loved dinosaurs since I was little and the combat in Path is liberating enough to mess with builds. However, the community ruins it by having literal adults who have not matured out of their pre-school bickering/mindset run around saying "you're trash" when I haven't even reached adolescent. I do not know if there's any solution to the cyberbullying in Path, but one thing that has worked for me is to NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE THE ATTENTION THEY WANT!!! These bullies in Path want you to get angry and lash out at them so that they get some social interaction in their miserable lives. Don't give it to them. Don't even react. Don't say anything because that's what they want. Over time if no one reacts to them, they will eventually leave and find something else that will give them a reaction. This is not a permanent solution, but it's helped me in the long run in not hating myself for playing the game.

My biggest flaw is im like a moth to a flame 😂 i see them in global and i go and kill 3 of their 12 players solo and they still call me "Trash" and "Get Good". My favorite is when it respawns me by one of the people i just destroyed and they don't even try to fight they just run in a straight line towards a homecave 😂

@@KenTheGent Mixpackers or groups usually are bad solo because they rely on others for "skill". I was in the community server one time as my Thal, and there was a Rex, Allo, and Carch in one group. That's considered overpacking by the rules so I pecked at the Allo until it decided to sleep thinking I was gone. I was just in the trees and when I saw him sleep, I pecked him to death. Server restart happened and I switched to my Carch and 1v1 the Rex since his Carch buddy didn't log back in. Rex ran the entire time and he should've won the 1v1, but he was just bad spamming the charged BB. I was expecting to die, but that Rex REALLY relied on his buddies to feel secure.

as a deinonychus main on officials i can only agree with this. mixpacks are the reason i became a deinonychus main in the first place, since i can just avoid/watch them and whenever i notice anything mixpack-like i immediately warn everyone about that area/the dinos i see there in the global chat. just yesterday i tried to take down a younger rex with my deinonychus, it was guarded by an adult rex. after they cried in the chat, 3 pycnos showed up to defend the young rex, and as if that wasnt enough a kentro and a pachy and a thalasso also joined in. so that was 8 vs 1 deinonychus. at the end of the day the young rex died because of the team damage they dealt to it since i was running between them. they couldnt catch me and were FUMING in the global chat. absolute losers

I am still playing but I reduced playtime in PoT drastically. I do have one to two friends which usually are active and we try to help each other. But I always make clear that I won't mixpack. Either we agree on one Dino or I rather play alone. So far we always found each other. On other occasions I really enjoy playing solo but I usually instantly log off if I experience anything toxic like being killed by megapacks, mixpacks or Herbis (if I play Herbi myself). I keep my distance from the game because I know sometimes it gets to me and that's not healthy. It's sad because it could be a nice, pretty game.

Thanks for addressing this huge problem. I typically main Sucho and Pycno solo. Last night I run into an Iggy, Stego, kentra, Styr and Alio. All just hanging around HT. I wait until just Iggy and Kentra.I try to fight Iggy 1V1 but kentra keeps butting in. I keep going to water until kentra gives up. Kentra proceeds to run to home cave and pull out a duck only to finish me off before I can finish fight with Iggy. The Duck then proceeds to type toxicity in the chat lol , like they really beat me. They have no skill and look for the easy way to win fights. I’m sure they do the same in life. I still love the game but I won’t go to IC/GP without a Pycno. I should of made a recording but it was a herd of 12-15 KOS dinosaurs running right at me and one other Pycno!I cant fathom it being fun to have such an advantage. With regards to toxic chat best to ignore or just say GG. As long as chat exists there will be toxic players. Nothing is as bad as call of duty though so pretty tame from what I’m used to.I essentially run the game with the chat off due to the toxicity. I have also played with some awesome fantastic people who helped me grow my Dino out of kindness nothing more. I appreciate those types of players and it keeps me from quitting. So far I have an adult Sucho and Pycno( bc of your video) so I still feel like a new player but my drive to grow another Dino has been destroyed by these gangs. We need guys with ur skills to group on these gangs lol. Please update Pycno video with tier list like your other videos! Also PLEASE do a battle tutorial for Sucho!!

Well thought out comment! I'd love to make a tier list for the pycno but its incredibly difficult to gauge the skill level of my viewers without getting to see them play. Personally i can kill almost anything solo with pycno but most people will have limitations. Secondly, I'll make a guide for the sucho for sure but it would be nice if they STOPPED CHANGING ABILITIES lol

I wish the official admins would lurk in this game and actually do something to stop these huge gangs. It really ruins the fun for other players and it's just gonna push people out of the community (it's already difficult to get people into this game in the first place). So good job to these folks for chasing people away from the game and limiting the growth of the community. I still play, I usually play solo but even when I'm with friends, I always stick to the quiet areas of the map and avoid any crowded places. I don't want a ton of rules on the game or anything like that, I just don't want folks creating mega packs and going around killing every player they see. Global chat especially needs way more moderation, it's ALWAYS people fighting and insulting one another. I don't play any pvp games, I usually play chill, cozy games and the communities are generally super friendly and supportive, so playing PoT was a total culture shock for me, lol. There are nice players in PoT though, I've met several wonderful people through this game and that's what keeps me coming back.

Well let’s be honest here, there’s nothing admins can do about it. There’s no boundaries being crossed, no rules are being broken. It’s a problem with a solution of “move to an unofficial.” That’s just about all that can be done about it in my opinion because these groups have fun by competing in their massive groups. Loved this game, played on official months and grew over 10 adults but the toxic player base finally got to me and I quit 1 month ago. It's a shame that a game with such potential has been reduced to what it is now 😔

Play in a community server with packing restrictions and staff that actually enforce rules. But yea, in a game where there is literally nothing to do after you've leveled the dinos you like and got the skins you like, the only thing left TO do is hang around doing nothing or kill other people. The game suffers from this and I don't think it will ever change. Isla Nycta 2 & 3 are decent places to play.

I've tried a few community servers and they tend to abuse the power. I've followed rules and still got locked in place because the person who lost the fight to me was friends with a mod.

I’ve been playing POT for a long time, and I’ve experienced many many mixpacks, toxic chats, toxic admins, and these admins have to be the worst on community. They do and say weird things with each other and it’s really nasty tbh and one time I was kinda being salty after being killed and I just said “ wow nice going ____” because it took a huge gang of carnis to kill my deino even though I said I don’t want to fight they did it anyway and had the audacity to say “GG”. So I said don’t GG me after you gang on me like a 8v1 for fun and the admin got pissed at me but the whole gang was totally fine of course because they’re friends with the nasty admins that do and say thing like this to them “

- growth should be based on time survived plus food and water upkeep should play a part in the rate of growth. - quests should be for marks only. - trophies should be removed or offer no trade-in value and only decorative. - death shouldn't be penalized, at least not growth. - mixpacking should result in debuffs, reporting should actually lead to bans if attacked/killed by a mixpack. - get rid of chat all together. Allow group leader to mark location on the map so members can see where to go instead. - better quest variaties. - have events (ex. organized herbi migration, birb airshow by the crater, hot springs party, gay carno disco party by the heart-shaped pond in rainbow hills (ducks ok too) etc..)

I actually like the death penalty, i think it could be more severe though. Maybe half a full stage would force people to not gang together and draw attention. Or maybe change how much growth you lose based on how many players hit you. So if its 1v1 you lose 3 bars of growth. If its 2v1 you lose half a bar and if its 3v1 or worse you lose 1/4 of a bar.

@@KenTheGent The death penalty by itself isn't the problem, being forced to pick up acorns for 30 minutes after every death is. Additionally, the exp deduction you mention should also be applicable whenever you're killed by anyone above your growth level, being perma stuck at juvenile because you're being targetted by adults is what made all my friends drop the game altogether.

Imo mega mix packs who like kos, control territories and bully or kill people just suck, and it especially hurts knowing that you were definitely more skilled then all of them and couldve solod them in a 1v1 but they decided to pull out their 20 friends to ruin the experience of everyone else. It does make me annoyed just seeing them, im gonna try to avoid ic and gp now, because thats where the problem is, hopefully living in the outer parts of the map will prevent me from encountering anymore players like this

I usually just pick a fast dino and harass the gangs so they don't go around messing with other players. Mobing sucks but the chat toxicity can get really out of hand quickly. I think the community servers at the menu needs a rework. A way to preview server rules and what mods are being used. It's not very user-friendly to find a server that works for you. Not to mention, some servers have crazy admins or mess with the dino stats.

Current player, official only. I play on the official even though the mixpack gangs are a problem but I just shifted my playstyle from big lumbering sacks of meat to fast and agile dinos that can just avoid the gangs or annoy them a lot. I tried playing on community servers but found the rules and admins too "oppressive". Sometimes I take a hiatus of a week or 2 and go play something else, this helps keep the game fun for me, too much of the good stuff can make it kinda bland.

I heard in Roblox (dino-mods), dinos are getting stressed out while being in reach of other dinos (not the same species and out of combat) for a long time. Lowering their stats or attributes. Quite similar to the homecave debuff near a homecafe or login debuff you receive. Ive talked alot about gangs with my ingame friends. The worst gangs are those who switch to other dinos to get an advantage or revenge. Or groups who call for backup in their communitys.

I dont read chat, i dont play with toxic players....i enjoy finding areas with all the quest items at hand and far from other players to server hop and lvl no problems, can have a timer if a herb and carni are near each other without combat then a massive debuff after certain amount of time.

Funny I should find this video now as just yesterday I decided to take a long break from the game after years due to EVERY TIME I play ANY adult dino bigger than a chicken I get mobbed by huge mix packs trophy hunting that tell me to stop complaining and go play community servers if I have a problem. The game has gotten so toxic with the trophy hunting groups it's made it impossible to farm marks for your dino because unless you are in a large group yourself, you are instantly targeted. If the devs don't put some serious limitations on trophies you can collect per day on an account and start cracking down on these large mix packing groups, this game is going to die.

Mix packing needs to have major negatives set in place for the people who attempt it. It's annoying as fuck from a solo perspective to just want to play the fucking game and you know... role play being a dino in the dino sim game. When 80% of the server is literally doing nothing but sitting around in these massive gangs of little timmies. Who might as well just be playing VR chat with a dino model as their avatar in a mirror room. Because all they want to do is sit around and look at their avatars and nothing else. Only to get angry when you kill them and reset them a single stage in a server where people get fast growth anyway. I'm a croc main typically because I actually enjoy the ambush gameplay style. But I can't even begin to count the amount of times I've been fucking mix packed by some annoying dipshit herbi players for playing my role as a CROCODILE hunting in a lake. Even when my target is another carni player. I seriously don't understand how people enjoy playing this game the way 90% of them currently do. Imagine being such a boring human being. That you pick up a dino sim game to do everything BUT play the role of an actual dino.

There's this game on roblox and I think they handle mixpacking really well, they have a system where you grind for dinosaurs so everybody cares about trying to grind asuch currency as possible, so they implemented a social system which rewards you for staying in pack sizes your Dino is comfortable with and not mix packing. If you do mix pack or mega pack you can get a 10% nef to your amber gain (the in game currency) and the growth rate, you also get minor health nerfs. Imo it's a really good way to handle mixpacking I wish more games would implement a system that does nerf your stats for staying around dinosaurs of different species for too long.

@pigsmacker213 i haven't heard anything about going free to play, the game has been in early access for 3-4 years now. Its been in beta on console for at least a year and a half now. It seems like the devs just changed the dino stats every 6 months and implement another mechanic but still haven't fixed the lag, add game modes, add a.i or add end game content in general.

maybe it's just cause I avoid official servers like the plague (cause I know how toxic people can be on there) and because I got a couple of great community servers to play on, but I really cannot complain. I've actually been enjoying the game more than ever over the past year or so. that said, it would be nice if there were mechanics against mixpacking, like BoB having your dino become increasingly more uncomfortable the longer you stick around other dinos.

I quit a while ago because i was tired of being KOSd every five seconds, and tbh im not a huge fan of pvp... But i came back to a great realism community server called Arazoa and while there are some rulebreaks it's pretty peaceful and nice to grow in. They have passive growth, nesting, herds or packs and if you play herbis people hunt you when theyre hungry not because they feel like it. Not mixpacking, its pretty nice! But yep, official is the worst tbh

Alot of official sever players are cod knock offs i swear big help i think is if they got rid of grobal and only hat local and group chat and took some ideas from beast of bermuda were dinos get uncomfortably by other dinos not in there group and it gives u a negative buff the mix packing kos groups ruin the game for me i like to explore and im usually alone doing it the isle is less toxic but it breaks my poor computer that needs a new cpu

Path Of Titans is not dying and Mixpacks aren't ruining Official Servers. 🦖 But that's just my opinion. The game is still really enjoyable and I've been playing since its release and still plan to play it years from now, as long as the Dev Team keeps up with it. (A lot of people want to quit, or have quit the game, because it doesnt cater to them specifically. It doesnt matter what game it is, people will always complain or have an issue with something.)

@KenTheGent well, I said yes a bit preemptive, the short answer would be yes, as it is difficult for either a solo or duo to either quest or interact when a gang of 4-5plus comes along and cuts it short, repeatedly. I get that it's part of the game though and can kinda look past that. The long answer would be that as the game continues to evolve I can't help but notice some of the development is influenced by issues players are having with the games balance, not necessarily individual dino effects(that they can control, but by things like exploiting gangs or large groups hell-bent on domination. I hope that some of the changes that were/are being made to each dino isn't because of that. Wow, sorry, yea long answer.

Yes. Path of titans is toxic. You have these groups off of discord or PlayStation groups that just hammer solo players. I then went to the death match servers and noticed it’s starting to affect that too. Really turns me off.

As a kos mixpack bully squad member. I don’t really agree with this. I joined a group bc it ensures no death and power leveling your other Dino’s. You get protection growing etc. typically our group server hops till we find another large group and starts a war. Really fun fights when it’s like 20 v 20. Then all the trash talk in global typically takes place. Sometimes they’ll do it bc people get angry, come back and die again. Bring friends etc. but there are zones for this. IC/GP HT/SG. And over time, you learn the names of big groups. & target them

You can get protection growing without joining those toxic megapacks, just gotta find a good group of friends to play with, or avoid the busy areas if you're solo. Part of the fun of officials is trying to survive to adulthood. If you just wanna grow specifically so you can fight people, why not join a deathmatch server? Don't you feel bad being part of a megapack that people have no way of defending themselves against? Doesn't that feel unfair to you? These are sincere questions, I'm genuinely curious.

@@KenTheGent safety is group sure but that’s just common sense. That could be said for anything ie family, military etc. controlling a territory. Not so much. Those areas are good bc of the wide battle areas with home caves and way stones. Makes for a smoother pvp experience. BQL and GV some too. No one wants to fight in a bunch of trees or cliffs lol. Sense of belonging. IDK about this. That’s no different then playing with friends lol. People are just naturally social creatures.
