I've done the counting last time a Premiership winning team has lost 4 games in a Row was Richmond 2017 when they lost to Adelaide in Round 6, Bulldogs in Round 7, Fremantle in Round 8, GWS In Round 9. So you cant Rule Geelong out now. While losing 4 in a row is never ideal you cant rule a team out of the Premiership Race especially if Geelong pick up the form they did at the back end of 2022. Plus While form slumps are never Ideal All teams (Even Premiership winning teams) have them and I think now is the least bad time to have a form slump so when you come out of it you have momentum heading into finals and are a scary prospect to play in finals. Plus if all thats not enough Premierships aren't won in May they are won in September. So dont call the Cats out of it ...yet

I was surprised they didn’t mention the four goals from Riccardi. He could prove a key to the Giants by taking the pressure off Jesse Hogan. He is originally from Werribee and joins the likes of Luke Ryan (ex Coburg) and Brodie Mihocek (ex Port Melbourne) in making a real impact on the AFL.

Jhye Clark and Lachie Whitfield clearly clash heads during their collision. You can see the lump already forming on Whitfield's face as he rolls on the ground post Clark contact. The bump from Mark Blicavs seems innocuous in comparison, albeit a little high. Either I'm missing something or the crew are out to lunch on this one.

The rest finished 9th 13th 16th and wooden spooners. And the tigers lost to Adelaide and gws who were also top 4. And Adelaide was a flogging. And like old mate said. Melbourne port gws were 8 6 and 4? That rings a bell to Richmond losing by 5 points against reigning premiers, Fremantle by 2 after the siren and gws by 3 in the last minute, what also rings a bell is Gold Coast gave Geelong a flogging like Adelaide did Richmond, and the factors to contribute to that are Geelong having a completely compromised structured side in insane conditions which the opposition was already use to and thriving in.

Lost to another top 8 side in Sydney, at the mcg, dropping another 4-5 goal lead. Then beat Carlton again and port who were the biggest pretenders of the 17 finals series. Even come finals everyone was saying straight sets. Before gws win everyone said they’ll choke, then people said they won’t beat Adelaide, how can they turn around a 13 goal differential… ended up being a 21 goal differential in the end. It’s for reasons like this people should be quiet and just not have an opinion. And that’s everyone. It’s all egotistical and just for bragging rights. Like the win ain’t enough? No one is a prophet. No one is better than anyone. So many examples of things happening and not happening how we think it will, how just about all of not at least vastly most believe it will anyway.

The Swans learned a valuable lesson in 2022 and they have that experience. Also players like Heeney and Chad have stepped up to a new level. Throw in Grundy and they are better still. But it takes a lot of luck to win a flag. Like always it will come down to injuries and momentum in September. You cannot predict in May who will win

This is Geelong under Chris Scott. One and done every decade or so because of their rebuild philosophy. They’ll never truely bottom out which means they never really do a rebuild. And maybe the Cats fans and the club are happy with that. Who knows?

Let’s not forget that prior to 2015, Geelong had more wooden spoons than Carlton and Essendon, Carlton picking up their only 5 wooden spoons in the last 22 years, in a much more spread out competition. Geelong sit right alongside both Carlton and Essendon, at 5 spoons each. Did you also know that Geelong also have the highest average losing margin in a season? Losing by an average of 86 points per loss 💀
