Good video. One thing that the host at the temple could have mentioned in reference when answering the question about animals is to point out to the interviewer that animals and plants and the natural world in general is existential to humans despite any technological advances. From food to medicine to mental wellbeing to what not. Hinduism maintains this quintessential thread that most other religious traditions today (unlike other non existent ancient religious traditions, e.g. Ancient Egyptian, Greek, Norse, etc) have lost.

In Hinduism, there are priests and not monks!

@@TheSmartLocalthere are monks in sanatan too they are called Sadhus, they live in seclusion. You'll find them in Himalayas. They meditate there to achieve moksha.

@@RJRecords0In Singapore, where those Sadhus goes seclusion? At Fort Canning is it? Basically dont have. Not all Hindu sects have sadhus just like aghori. You wont see any aghori in Singapore too. But priest/swami, yes in every Hindu sects.

Peepal trees in the temples here in India are humngous, you may need 4 or 5 people to circle it and if you can just sit underneath it you will realise hiw calm your mind becomes maybe its because if all the oxygen its pumping out but thers is something so spiritual about it 😊

What a great insight by Sengkuttuvan Sir! His English and the way he explained is just on point. I would like to share smtg on the Qs. 1) God is one in Hinduism revered as ParaBrahmam(Primordial Source of Energy) in Vedas. The Energy transfered into masculine and feminine counterparts Purusha(ParaShiva/MahaVishnu) and Prakriti (AdiParaShakti). Energy transformations here considered as millions of Manifestations from time to time. Ppl grasped the knowledge of singularity are considered followers of Nirguna Brahman(one without form) and ancient ppl who wants to visualize the Energy, after deep meditation receives the knowledge of Shilpa and Geometrics of Symbols and Structures and so made idols to resemble the specific form of the Energy. So yea thats how it goes. 2) Animal features were potrayed was not merely just for the sake of chosing one animal and doin so..Ganesha (elephant head) was actually born with human head and transplant to elephant occured only after head was removed by 🔱 Trishulam(nothing can be retrieved after destroying thru this weapon) so there's a meaning why they chose elephant head. Monkey God 😂 isnt Monkey God after all.. Hanumān is actual born Neanderthal like species who was closely related to Vanara clan (forest dwellers) so He is half human half ape like feature with broken jaw(Hanu-man) was shown more depiction of a Monkey due to this. After all ppl gotta delve in like Sir said in this video so that theyll get the answers beyond their minds that exisitng eons ago.

To Mr.Sengku, Purana is not mythological, It is old history of demigods and God. By the way, the history (Purana) already stated who is only God and His creations. But only we dont make it debate because praying to demigods also at the end will lead to the Supreme God.

The beef question was interesting because I've always been curious about it. Is it a choice? Or is it a rule for all Indians? And should they abstain from goats as well due to goat milk
@devangsingh67783 ай бұрын
A hindu should not consume meat and if he consume meat he should not consume female animals.

Maybe because where and when these rules were made thousands of years ago , , cow were the only animal that was used as a source of milk.
