Col. (Ret.) Grant Newsham is a Senior Fellow with the Center for Security Policy. He is also a Research Fellow at the Japan Forum for Strategic Studies, focusing on Asia/Pacific defense, political, and economic matters. He is a retired U.S. Marine Colonel and was the first U.S. Marine Liaison Officer to the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. He also served as reserve head of intelligence for Marine Forces Pacific and was the U.S. Marine attaché, US Embassy Tokyo on two occasions. Grant Newsham has more than 20 years of experience in Japan and elsewhere in Asia so he is well able to offer the Asian perspective on the strategic challenges China presents to Japan and Taiwan, and how the two of them may face that threat.

It is the CPC, not the CCP. Why is that so hard to get? Is it part of some kind o diminishing campaign by the UAS (United American States?)?

First thing needed is an automated missile response, destroying every target up and down the Chinese coast. At least 30k missiles to start. Same with Philippines Korea. Australia should be a missile base. Ramp up production.... NOW

I think you left out the important nation India against China . Can understand how painful it is for you to acknowledge India 😂. Anyway I hope India gets a Peace deal with Chinese 😂

I think the Chinese looks scary on paper. Didn’t they try to go into Vietnam after the U.S. withdrawal and get their asses handed to them?

that is the story you are told, pretty far from the truth. the tactical goal for pla in Vietnam was destroy their weapon productions in the north, aided by China. So they stop occuping cambodia and laos. It was not possible for China to occupy Vietnam economicly. They got 2 weeks to do the job and pulled out. unlike the US stucked in Vietnam, afghanistan, iraq, for decades and gained nothing.
