I purchased a little in both Archer and Joby. They will be the Uber of the skies. Commercial and government applications are limitless. Imagine getting in at the beginning of Tesla and Uber. High risk, high rewards.

I'm already invested in these two along with Serve Robotics. Looking forward to their continued progress in 2025 as all three companies are growing, meeting schedules and milestones, and receiving large business backing. Archer Aviation has nearly $6B in preorders, so they'll cover their negative cash flow pretty quickly seeing their revenue starting to pick up in late 2025. The other stock I'm looking out for will be the AI leader, Cerebras. Excited for when they announce the IPO date.

Buying longer term archer aviation contracts but staying away from Joby as insiders have been selling literally every month this year.

the best case scenario isn't longer flights, is a larger fleet of short, cheap flights around major cities. This would massively reduce congestion, and the VTOL aspect requires a small footprint for ground operations (loading/unloading). Imagine a flight from santa monica to Hollywood being similarly priced as taking an Uber but way more efficient.

Many people don’t have enough food to eat or access to clean water. Infrastructure doesn’t support this idea. However, for shipping this could be a viable option for same day delivery from local stores. But then again. I doubt it.

I watched the Archer factory tour. Sounds like these things are 1000x more complicated than a legacy helicopter. A lot of very skilled mechanics will be needed. Every craft will need a human pilot, that's a crap ton more very trained people required. Will ACHR be able to sell enough rides to pay all these professionals? They'd better fly fast cus their passenger capacity is low.

LOL!!! So.... you think an electric motor is more complicated than the JET TURBINE ENGINES in most helicopters!? Maybe you should look up the difference between the maintenance schedules between gas powered cars and electric cars!!! And while there is a VAST DIFFERENCE in levels of complexity between an automotive internal combustion engine and a jet turbine, the difference between the engines and batteries used in an electric car and an EVTOL is minimal!!! 😂

I’ve really jumped into JOBY this past month and think it’s a great long hold. Archer worries me a bit with the lack of cash and real world testing. The DOD has 6 units of JOBY and are testing its applications. I’m also a big owner of EH but that vehicle doesn’t have the range or speed of either JOBY or archer. EH is totally autonomous and a bit smaller. They are way ahead and have delivered quite a few units already.

I don't know which stock will take off first so I bought a small position of Archer and Joby @ 1000 shares each. I have no proof of this but my thought is Toyota and Stellantis may be getting in the flying car business if the business model proves to be accepted by the public. My price target to sell is 100 with a unlimited timeline.

Quieter and a smaller landing footprint. So can operate nearer to urban areas. Their operating costs should be cheaper, and the vehicles come with green credentials, if that matters to the authorities.

M&A will be a big part of the story for these companies. Let’s face it if Tesla wanted in on this, they could buy either or both up in a matter of minutes. Buy some of both, and wait.

I'm invested in both. I honestly want to say. They will start in 2026 and not 2025. I know Joby will probably be first to market. They are currently 42% complete on stage 4 and stage 5 certification is only currently at 2%. I just don't think they will finish both certification next year. So i believe 2026 is more realistic.

Sorry, while I do have a few token shares in Archer, I believe they are not close at all and share dilution is in the future. The technology has been around for so long now, if it were possible, China would already have this in full commercial service and neither Joby nor Archer would be the leaders in this market, but Chinese companies. Problem is the battery. You can't lift that battery AND passengers AND fly any meaningful distance.

Joby already demonstrated hydrogen flying ~600 miles. That's probably the future and/or solid state batteries.
@TheBooban

@ didn’t know that. I may have bet on the wrong horse. Hydrogen. That’s why Toyota likes it. But I can’t find a single video without music to hear if it’s silent. Suspicious!

@@TheBooban Hydrogen fuel cells turn hydrogen to electricity and then electricity powers the motors. So, flight would be the same as an electric aircraft.

@@asymmetricinvesting I thought the consumer interest was getting to the airport faster from downtown by avoiding traffic congestion. Why an aircraft with a 600-mile range? Does Joby supply a perfect substitute 600-mile flight cheaper than the airlines?

JOBY is backed by NASA (Elon’s competitor) and Toyota. Talks with UBER makes me bullish especially the noise pollution is the lowest. ACHR has the military contracts and has plans to create routes in Los Angeles. Both American companies need a pilot which creates jobs for pilots. China has EH that are smaller (2 passengers) but autonomous. They are back by their government and making money now. I think eventually ACHR and JOBY will serve more in their respective niches (government/civilian UBER) transitioning to being autonomous and using alternative energy I.e. hydrogen.

It's hard to imagine how such aircraft would be worked into major airports that are already overloaded with airline traffic. They're not going to delay aircraft with hundreds of people on them so a few 4-seaters can get in.

JFK has a helipad and flights going to Manhattan already. Flight paths are predictable and linear, so I don't see this as a big deal.

These take off and land vertically. They are not using runways or slowing air traffic in any way.
@thelorf6713
@thelorf6713 2 ай бұрын
@@dhsajdak VTOL AC still need clearance to cross the runways and generally have to be worked in with the flow of airliners. Blade flights are routinely asked to hold until ATC can work them in. There's some good KZbin videos from a Blade pilot that demonstrate this. I just don't think there's a lot of extra capacity in the system for a lot of these flights at major airports. Also, Blade only works because it's being serviced by pilots and equipment from tour companies that are servicing Blade in their downtime. Blade wouldn't work if they had to buy their own helicopters and hire their own pilots.

there must be something that you know that (United airlines, Southwest airlines, Stellantis, Toyota, DoD, etc....) don't know. All these companies have invested millions in Archer and Joby and I think they know a thing or two about ways to grow their businesses. Where are your facts to get to your conclusion?
