I love seeing this. It might actually be more savings if you included a couple of small license plate lights

That's a huge difference and LED just puts out more lumens. Incandescent are a thing of the past and are just very inefficient.

Is the gauge LED dimable? Are the tail lights dual filament equivalent?

Ok but now I need the voltage because power usage is measured in watts not amps

13.4Volts x 9.4amps = 125 watts 13.4Volts x 1.5amps = 20 watts

Just a bit of information I like to share, we swapped our entire house one day to LEDs, our bill dropped by about 60% because all our lights are always on 😅😅😅

Is it for the same lumens?

Leds dont last though. Old school bulbs have always lasted 5x longer in my personal experience. So now that brings up the price per bulb compared to electricity price. Old school wins everytime.

Quit buying the cheapest China leds? I stop buy the parts store for bulbs way less these days with leds. Not sure where yer getting them grade f reject leds. Seriously I don't even have a spare, I never used to have a car without at least a spare 1157 incandescent in the glove box. I don't have a spare led anything anywhere.

I'm no expert in the automitive field, so you could be correct in that area. Outside of that, LEDs generally have a longer life span and are much less brittle than incandescent bulbs. My understanding as well is that manufacturing costs have been dropping very quickly in the past year while there haven't really been any changes in a while with "old scool" bulbs

I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m a mechanic, and I’ve had a client come by at least six times over a three-year period to replaces incandescent bulbs. He got tired of having me do them, and had me upgrade to LEDs. They’ve been in for other maintenance. But it’s been well over a year since I’ve seen them for replacing any light.

Cheap and unbranded LEDs off Amazon and eBay won’t last, yes. I’ve had Philips and Osram bulbs which have lasted years and still no sign of dimming or flickering.

Honestly at first I also feel that LED bulbs in general tends to die faster, but after actually buying proper branded LED, I have yet an LED bulb that died due to the age, but I have some which I killed due to over-voltage (but that's out of the point). Try to get some proper branded LEDs, and spread the word further for anyone that think LEDs always die.
