I can’t blame the content creators for any of that at all. It’s their job; their income depends on it, especially during this time in the release cycle. Do you really think the creators considered that requesting cards would make any appreciable impact on how many regular folks were able to buy their new toys. I really doubt super small channels got 5090s sent out.

It may take some time and you don't need to upgrade immediately unless if your pc is ass or something. For example I did not get the white gigabyte aorus 5090 at launch because I knew the stock would be low so I will wait until prices come back down to msrp or close to msrp but if I am impatient I will pay more then msrp but not by a lot hopefully.

They told me a day before launch they had in store stock and told me if I drove to the store would be my best chance to get one. I just checked Overclockers 4090 stock and got an ASUS ROG STRIX OC 4090 for £1500, I'm very happy as I knew that 50 series wouldnt be in stock etc for a long time etc and it's basically a grand more for 30% more performance. Plus I sold my 7900xt for £500, so got a 4090 for £1000 :)

I'm hoping after a few weeks I can get my hands on a 5090 at Micro Center. I'm sure after the initial wave is through it won't be as bad. Literally every Nvidia launch for the past several generations has been a paper launch lol, they really need to stop sucking at launches but I think they do it on purpose to drive up demand.

Reports from stores and Nvidia are quoting 3-14 weeks before chipsets even go to the companies to make new cards due to the Chinese holidays. So it will possible be months.

I have a 4080 currently and I just put a whole new build together with significantly more RAM and a brand new CPU (my other one was 6 years old) so that alone should make a bit of difference even with the same card. I will just have to be patient, and when I get my 5090 I can sell my 4080 for a good chunk too

I currently have the MSI Suprim Liquid cooled RTX4090.....love it!! Fast and runs cool and quiet. Going off this, not sure if the performance gain is worth the extra cost, as I would also have to upgrade my 7800X3D. But if i was to get a 5090, it would definitely be this card (Suprim liquid cooled).

14:44 i would argue that it is actually , (if u going to waterblock it) the noise of fans would disappear so that wouldnt matter what model you get but coil whine you would be stuck with what you have cause no ammount of cooling would get that away oh and yeah i dont think there will be any waterblocks for founders cause of the whole 3 pcb design it would be hard to manufacture even then you could control fan speeds of graphics cards but not coil whine so i would pay the extra for low coil whine

Yo Centric, will the liquid version's radiator with the fans be able to fit the bottom of a Hyte Y70 case? I already have the top of the case reserved for the top radiator for the CPU, the sides and back are for normal fans.

Why don't you use the Cyberpunk built in benchmark to test the cards? Using different areas of the maps for different GPUs, shows us nothing about which GPU is running better frame rates. Also what resolution are you playing at? 22.5'C is warm. Room temp is 18-21'C. Meaning you should be wearing a jumper, and have room temp cooler. Hence using less CARBON FOOTPRINT!

I wish there were more reviews of the non OC cards. Esp the Palit gamepro one. There is only a single unpacking video but no review. The gamerock one in comparisons seems to do really well against the other ones though, consistently ranking in the top. Which is weird because I had never heard of Palit before and it seems like a "cheap brand" .. esp with the funky desings.

I managed to get an Zotac OC 5080 on preorder for £1099 that's no too much over MSRP. Its still a rip off I know but it should be a nice bump up from my 3080 for my 4k monitor. I also got an alphacool waterblock to go with it for a reasonable price. But the 4090 is just crazy I would not buy that even if I had the money to burn, I,ve been putting money aside for a new GPU for 3 years! Time to start saving for the next thing. I love this hobby butI also hate it!
