Can you imagine this being made & put on tv today? How far we have fallen as society.

Ruth Donnelly had a long career in films, going as far back as 1914, until the late 50s. Thanks for sharing this!

How refreshing to see warm heartedness prevail. Care for the neighbour. Love for the weak ones. A blessing.

The plaint about the birds , is more apt for these more modern times . Waking a country mile , wher I live - South west Pacific - you dont hear birds around feilds , nor much of a "Dawn Chorus" , these days . Dawn Chourus , was a good alarm clock , and it sounded great , gently from about 4:30 am over summer . Havent heard a note , this season - must be the turbines and wifi signals ; even the insects have close to vanished , and many of the native fish , in spring feed streams - nearly dry , for the first time in over 60 years . , Theres 3 , which have dried up completely - they started between tracks , in the bush .

if you cant relax and sleep and do anything bc of bird singing. You need to see a Dr.
@marklauzon1867 ай бұрын
I think her point was that by the time She WAS ready to sleep THEN the Birds screwed it up. I HATED moving from Philly to a Town. I missed ALL the noise but eventually got used to it.

@@pamelaarias5586 she may have played some other woman on the show, but elverna was also known as big nose Bradshaw and bigmouth Bradshaw...I don't think she looks much like her. It may be the style of clothes that gives the impression too, they wore old fashioned styles like that in Bugtussel

WOKE movie from 50'
@roringusanda28377 ай бұрын
Hardly woke. Christian ideals, helping people out of the goodness of your own heart, without palming them off on the govt and the taxpayers. And these boys are citizens, not bo rder breakers, abandoned by the one who should have been taking care of them. They came to be Americans too, not sit on their butts and demand America change for them. I think this is the exact opposite of w o k e.
