Absolutely beautiful. The infamous Miss Ida. Always enjoyed her performances on screen and television. Gorgeous, bold, stern, straight forward, dark, and a presence well worth my time. Love her mid soprano voice. Always looking forward to seeing her. A sumptuous lady and a well told storyline. What a wonderful day this is. Ken

What a great actress!!! She was beautiful and sooo talented. And, Hugh Beaumont had all the mannerisms and expressions of Ward Cleaver. Fun to watch him.

The way she addresses the audience at the end, oh how incredibly rare, for today's standards, is to see somebody well educated, charming, courteous and relaxed thanking you for your time; and, the play, well..., that's just another story, all in 25 min, how marvellous. Thank you Pizzaflix for this little delight. L.

Ida Lupino was one of the first women directors. She even directed 4 episodes of “Gillian’s Island!”

@allybc - excellent catch! You are so right. You said that, & I had to see for myself, lol! And 2 of my favorite actresses! I grew up watching Ida Lupino, but this last decade, with so many of her appearances in tv shows, movies, even radio here on KZbin, it's been like unearthing hidden treasure. Looking forward to this ep of 4 star playhouse. Ida Lupino never shy'd away from tv, like so many 'stars' of that era. She was an incredible actress, writer, producer & director.

Good story line. I knew it was something along the script result, but I was not as nice. I thought it involved going away to South Dakota (or some other remote locale) to "dancing school" for a year or two. You never fail to offer good programs, Pizza. Thanks.

The most used lines in entrapment and destroying lives with useless laws, “if you have nothing to hide, don’t be afraid”. Haha. So much time investigating trivial things, ruining lives, while the biggest criminals run the judicial system and the world. I like Ida Lupino. She plays this part of an over zealous, busy body, misusing her authority, to satisfy her own insatiable curiosity, too well. We’re supposed to believe it is in everyone’s best interest. After Thanksgiving, everyone gets prosecuted! 😬
