Awee, i was planning a trip to visit Paisley Park in summer and was hoping to see urn with Princes ashes, in hopes this would give me some closure to his death, it still hurts he is gone and i really don’t have the closure i’m needing. it’s weird i know, 3 years later and still grieving over someone i don’t know but only through his music, interviews, his friends and family. It would be nice if the estate, please allow the Urn to remain on display. for his many fans/friends who still as yet wants to come to pay their respects to Prince by visiting his beautiful home were he worked so hard, please Nelson family let the Urn stay. Prince dearly missed, may his legacy live on forever. 💜
@PrincesFriend5 жыл бұрын
It’s not weird at all. As a matter of fact, in Confucian belief, 3 years is the minimum you should mourn a parent, and to a lot of us Prince was like that. The estate doesn’t have any control over the ashes, that’s the family who made that call. But what I’ll say is that Prince is everywhere in Paisley Park, regardless of the physical location of his ashes. Definitely go and pay your respects
@jennyh4445 жыл бұрын
Kandi Kane I agree I want to go to Paisley as well, and felt seeing the urn would give me closure. Unfortunately,I don't think I will ever have closure, but still plan a trip to Paisley as I am only a 4 hour drive away. Hopefully this summer.

The most important thing to me as a "Prince Fanatic" is the music. I don't want to see any ashes, or a photo of Prince dead in an elevator, or what happen to the gold bars found his house. I love the music. It's the music of Prince, that I'm thankful for, and the art that we haven't heard or seen, that Prince left behind for use to enjoy. That's what's important. Let's make this annual trip to enjoy each other and the museum dedicated to an artist(of which is born once in maybe a century) . Let's enjoy Prince's Music not his ashes. Question? Are there any concerns about Beethoven's, Hendrix"s, or Michael Jackson's ashes? Just asking.

When I went on the PP tour in June 2017, we were told the ashes were in the replica of PP that was above us on the wall, in the atrium. We really couldn’t see the urn/replica of PP, so I don’t understand the big deal with moving his ashes. They weren’t visible when they were “available to the public”. Even that distance seemed odd to me, knowing Prince was a private person, I couldn’t imagine him wanting something as personal as his own ashes available for public scrutiny. To me, this decision, no matter what it is, belongs to the family and is not open for public debate. Period.
@PrincesFriend5 жыл бұрын
Truth. And that’s true. When I did see the urn, I saw it from underneath because it was put up high and out of reach so people couldn’t mess with it. But they also couldn’t see the actual beauty and design of the urn in the first place. So we were told the ashes were there, but all we saw was translucent plexiglass.
@AH-yk4eb5 жыл бұрын

Prince loved his supporters.His spirit watches over all his supporters.Prince may be standing next to you at a bustop and you would never know it spiritually,unless he allowed you to see him.He pretty much reached God status in life,so if you call out his name,he will hear you.He is young again and looks way he did in 1984.He can wear regular clothes now in his dimension and walk around in public without ppl noticing him.If you ever see him anywhere do not stare at him.He hates being stared at.He once fired a staff member for starting at him.Also,he uses his smart phone alot now.He loves text messaging.I had a near death experience in November and saw him here in Baltimore December 12th.Nobody looks like Prince at age 26 but Prince,ya know? He didn't say anything,but was mad I kept staring at him.He definitely didn't even wanna be noticed,really.We just switch to another dimension to a younger body when we die.That dimension is very similar to here. I messaged Princes sister about Dec 12th,but she wasn't amused.She blocked me.I think if she ever has a near death experience maybe she will get to see her brother for herself,if he wants her to see him.

I was initially devastated to hear that the contents of Prince's Vault were extracted from his home and the ashes relocated. However, Paisley Park has become a shrine and commercial business, then for family privacy and security alone they needed to be elsewhere. Even so, I wonder if some of the vault contents were illegally compromised after the relocation. Personally, Prince's royal ambiance reigns in the state of Minnesota. I was that sickly grieved person that vacationed there for two weeks the last two years on my "All Things Prince Quest." I obsessively sat and drove around his neighborhoods several hours envisioning and wishing for a glimpse of him on Earth. However, his aura and memorabilia remain at Paisley and across the World for our imagination and recollection. As Prince sang, " Paisley Park Is In Your Heart."

Body goes back to dust and it really should be laid to rest properly with a decent burial. The Spirit goes to God. For the final judgement..after death judgement.Sorry to disappoint...he isn't lingering anywhere on Earth. What you feel and see in Paisley are memories and history. The heart of that place has stopped beating the day he was no more on Earth. He is waiting for the day of Christ Jesus return when the real forever after Party begins. I thought that Prince wanted his body/ashes placed in the circular building next to the larger building. The building from an aerial view is supposed to appear to have an eye on the roof. It could be symbolic of something we are not privy to know being that Prince was often a mystery. Maybe Prince had his reasons for wanting his remains there. IF THIS IS TRUE and not speculation, I think the family should honor his wishes and have his remains placed and secured in the manner he wanted. Regardless of where we think his spirit is, his request is what he wanted not what his family or fans want.

As soon as the tour started we walked into the atrium the guide told us that above us high up in front of us was the urn containing Princes ashes. The group I was with bowed their heads in respect and some including myself did cry. It was a heart wrenching moment. I'm glad I went when I did 4 me that was a private moment with Prince even though I was in a group. I think we all felt the same. I don't know how I feel about the ashes being taken away...sad I think. Gracelands have Elvis buried next 2 his mother in the grounds. Many years going forward in the future.....who's to say who will be alive to care about what could be happening with his ashes?? An undisturbed permanent shrine could be carved out inside Paisley Park for him. What do you think ?

Your thought is the same as my thought has been. I dont know who these people are who think they even have a right to have anything to do with that decision. Opinions, sure. But writing campaigns? Really? Part of me liked the idea of the ashes being there because it felt like he was home. But they removed them and I am fine with that too. Apparently some family member said three years is long enough to mourn. That isnt his call, so if thats the reason they were moved, its a ridiculous premise. That will not stop people from mourning. Time does that. But in the end its their decision, not ours, and I am ok. My feelings arent affected in the least. Good job PF, as usual. And you agree with what my thoughts were. Even better. 💜😏

People were outraged when Paisley opened and the PP model containing his urn were on display in atrium down on the floor. Then people were outraged when they moved up above the kitchen. Now that the urn was moved reportedly somewhere else in PP. I agree with you. This was a non issue for me. We play respect to Prince by gathering at the house he created for us. We pay respect by promoting his legacy by ensuring next generations hear Prince's music like we did. We pay respect by living everyday treating our fellow man "Love 4 One Another". I can obviously go on and on. We do not need to physically see his earthly ashes/urn to feel his presence and honor him.
