People love comparing Rise and World, and it often comes with a lot of Rise hate. However, Rise is incredibly fun to those who embrace the pace :)

Rampages were a really fun minigame to play once or twice! ... And then they locked the end game upgrades of Rise behind having to do rampages repeatedly. I think if Capcom hadn't forced me to grind through rampages, I would remember them a lot more fondly.
@spatz22194 ай бұрын
Rampages are alright solo, heard they’re fun with friends. But the late game rampages with the special and powerful monsters go kinda hard, especially if you fight it like you normally would but with the automatic villager defenses providing fire support as you smack the shit out of it.

Rampages can be fun, but are more often than not tedious. When doing it with on-level gear, using the facilities is mandatory, and it's just not what a lot of people want to do when playing this game. Add on that you only get parts from the boss monsters and not the rest of the monsters, and it feels like a waste of time when regular hunts go by so much quicker. On the bright side, the weapons crafted from Rampage tickets can be really solid, and sometimes even the best options available in Rise when fully upgraded (unfortunately they don't get improved versions in Sunbreak). I actually had more fun coming back with Master Rank gear to get the related achievement, where I can do damage far exceeding what most of the facilities can output. My rapid fire pierce LBG does more damage per hit than the turrets and hits significantly more often. With a Counter Signal, I managed to do 21k damage with a GS True Charged Slash. Crazy stuff, and it's pretty fun. The only thing kind of holding it back at that point is monsters being knocked into wyvern-riding status will stay in that status for like a minute or two, no matter how much you damage them, so you either have to wait or actually ride it to have it go away. 10:37 that is an amazing moment! One of my favorite reasons to use Impact CB. Some advice, try not to use the wirebug block against a first hit, unless you know the attack you are blocking isn't a multi-hit and has no follow-up. It can only block one hit, and all the options it leads into leave you vulnerable for a couple seconds, which can be really costly. Regular blocking or guard pointing on the initial hit and using the wirebug block for the follow-up works significantly better, though you do need enough Guard to not have knockback (Guard levels 1, 3, and 5, are the relevant levels, plus there are other skills can improve your guard).

Rampages are only in the base game of Rise, in Masterrank they get replaced by Follower Quests which a lot of people love. Rampages are basically the Zorah Magdaros of the game, no one really likes it but you still have to do it three times.

I had a very similar experience with Maggie my first time. Nearly three carted. But he's the gatekeeper for the hub. So I suggest mastering the fight. I had to grind him like twenty times for his plate for the sinister bow. That experience prepped me very well for high rank.

Looking at the image shown at 6:00, the other dragantor switch is near the green lantern on the far side. Which I didn't discover until much later cause it doesn't tell you it's there. Tutorials in this game is just enough to leave you blinded. As always, remember to Retreat Shot the flying greenies. It's the only way to be sure. **Proceeds to bop to the montage music.**

world is centred around not letting the monster act, through mantles, cheese mechanics and multiple ways of staggering and blocking the monster in rise, especially when entering G rank, every monster gets much more complex and technical and every weapon gets access to crazy counters and defensive moves to outplay the monsters in response i do not see why rise would be seen as easier than world, especially once they added clutch claw to base world

For me, Rampage quests are like the underwater combat in the third generation of Monster Hunter, something I'm forced to do to progress, but don't enjoy in the slightest. When Sunbreak came out, I was dreading that they'd add more Rampage quests, but I has relieved to find that that wasn't the case and that I could ignore a lot of high rank (especially the rampage quests) and just move to master rank.

I personally got into rise on ps bc they added it a while back and I didn’t want to buy world all over again. Plus ngl world was kinda hard for me solo.
