chaotic gore magala is such an interesting fight, half its body has shageru's weaknesses and the other half has regular gore's weakness due to failed molt, so you can bring dragon or fire and you will do more damage depending on what part to hit, i gotta admit, its definately my favorite monster in the Sunbreak DLC, and ill never feel bad for killing one because if IIRC, they are in immense pain from the failed molt so im just putting them out of their misery.

Chaotoc Gore Magala is such a sad thing. It failed to molt fully into Shagaru for whatever reason and stuck in-between the two forms. And lost control of the frenzy virus now making it go inane with crazy pain and will eventually die but not before causing untold destruction in it's path. A Chaotic Gore Hunt is a *Mercy Kill* for the poor beast.

Chaotic is one of the best returns of all in my opinion, chaotic have massive lore, is "stronger" than shagaru, is a berserk trying to stop his suffering, i hope one day we get a chaotic vs shagaru turf war when chaotic winning means he can shed fine, or better stop the pain with no transformation, something like albinism, i have the rule for 1 chaotic i kill i kill 2 shagarus because the suffering the own species suffer

2:25 That's me!😃 but the reason i said that was because, gor is one of the fex monsters added through free game updates, the only reson it was mr 10 was cause it was for experienced players to try early, and i tought, since p malzeno is soooo hard that it needs super good armour, why wouldn't chaotic? but to this day i still didn't fight chaotic

Made yourself look silly talking when you didn’t know, but we’ll forgive and forget You were partially right, Chaotic was in Title Update 3 out of 6 and Tree was a bit under geared. But anything from the first 4 Title Updates are manageable after having completed the main story. Chaotic Gore hits hard but a lot of the difficulty comes from the changes they made to its moveset. It has a mix of Gore and Shagaru moves that are slightly different from either, meant to catch you off guard. That and all the multi-hit/consecutive explosion attacks that are there specifically to catch you trying to counter the first attack. And for reference, you can totally skip the Anomaly grind and just do the title updates. Just going down the line like that is a lot of fun and has a good gear progression. But the special monsters from Anomaly (no spoilers from me) are a lot of fun, so I recommend at least doing the event quest version of those. Maybe someday I’ll fight the Lvl 300 special investigation anomaly elder dragons, but I’m only at like lvl 230. The XP slows waaay down at that point

​@@joshlewis8860thank you for clarifying 🙏 also one of the other reason i said that is because somebody in tree's discord told me i should do it after mr narwa, so i was kinda scared cause i never fought chaotic before, cause rise is my first mh game and i only started the game this year, i have around 200 hours and i just learned to master the charge blade, so when someone told me i had to fight it after narwa almother mr version, a harder version of the same narwa that gave me a pain in the ass for multiple days and had me shacking when i finnally beat it, yeah you could say i wasn’t confident trying to fight him

(also chaotic took me 30 minutes hes annoying so i cant blame ya) good luck with amatsu....thats the only one that gave me the most trouble.

Hopefully Wilds isn’t as forgiving when it comes to new mechanics, because no matter how much I like Rise/Sunbreak, wyvern riding and restocking at basecamp just removes all pre-hunt prep and item conservation strats from the game. Back then if you used a mega potion to heal a potions-worth of HP that was seen as mismanagement of your items when you could use herbs instead, but now you don’t need to even think about what your bring before departing on the quest because at any point you just warp back to base and grab as many heals as you want without any inconvenience. And wyvern riding is just the antithesis of bad game design. In a game where you hunt giant monsters with big weapons which have complex combo strings (for the most part) the last thing I’d ever want is to be forced into riding a monster for a spamable and simplistic, easy to use, free damage mini-game that can apply a super OP debuff like thunderblight to the target monster whilst also doing a bunch of damage. And if you’re like me and you don’t want to do that then you’re stuck with option B where anytime a monster enters an area with the target monster they’ll be forced to fight until one is in the rideable state meaning the monsters attentions is taken away from you (the hunter actively kill in it), and obviously you don’t have to take the ride when a monster is in the wyvern ride state, but then it’ll leave this motionless monsters sitting in the middle of your fight that will take up bullets and sharpness from your weapon which will do zero damage anyways if it’s in the way. And the cherry on top, if two monsters that have already fought in a wyvern ride or otherwise meet in the same area afterwards, one of the two monsters will be forced to leave. So in the case of online hunts with randoms (ugh) who will on occasion use the wyvern ride finisher on the target monster, there’s a chance that any monster that was used to attack the target monster in a wyvern ride will forcibly move your target monster around the map should they meet after the fact, and there’s nothing you can do about it.

@@bluefiredemon448 I never said the basecamp restocking was an issue, I just have a personal gripe with it because it removed an element of immersion from the game. Sure, it was annoying when you forgot to restock items when departing on a hunt back then, but that was what taught newbies to always be mindful of their pre-hunt prep and item management, which is a pretty important skill everyone had to learn and never forgot afterwards. And historical Japanese implications aside (don’t know why you brought that up as it’s not important to the topic), wyvern riding is still a flawed mechanic in and of itself. I’ve already explained why it sucks but if people still like it then so be it. Again, these are my personal gripes with the game, I don’t pretend to be a game designer, but I have thousands of hours in these games and I still love them to death, so call it whatever you want but I’d say my opinion is justified because of my dedication to the series.

@Silvanity_ restocking: you as veteran probably think that a newbie still has benefits from restocking in anamoly quests? Isn't my opinion justified as well? I mean after a mount you get free damage too no? This is just another interpretation but with a traditional Japanese twist like they said in the 20th anniversary interview. In world it was wall banging in rise it's just wyvern riding. Now in wilds is focus strike. I'm not saying your wrong but flat out say it's bad isn't true either

@@bluefiredemon448 Mounting is optional, you don’t have to mount monsters, and deciding not to mount monsters in older games had zero consequence otherwise. Whereas wyvern riding is forced when you use any silkbind moves, which are critical and necessary to do good damage. Mounting is also a lot more nuanced than wyvern riding seeing as you can fail quite easily if A) The monster you’re mounting is being hit by either a player or another monster, B) You run out of stamina or you miss-time your brace, or C) You aren’t fast enough to get to the monster once it’s down in order to mount it in the first place. Wyvern riding is almost impossible to fail (unless you’re trying to) as it only requires 2 buttons to work and it’s virtually guaranteed every hunt. To put it simply, both mechanics despite the similarities are very different in how they are executed, one is optional and nuanced whilst the other is forced and easy, which is boring and exhausting. And what you mentioned about anomaly hunts and restocking is more of an issue with anomaly hunts than what I was talking about, so idk what you were trying to say there. And you are comparing 3 very different a major mechanics from separate games with completely different play-styles and movement. All are different in their own respects and aren’t what I’ve been talking about. And about opinions being justified, I was only giving reason to my own opinions, and I don’t care what anyone else thinks about wyvern riding or restocking at basecamp because they aren’t going to change my mind on the topic. I’ve said my piece.
