10 man Sternguard with bolt rifles, led by a Librarian with Fusillade in Librarius Conclave, is just a whole lot of fun. The 4++ from the Libby puts in work. Using Incursors to make them hit on 2s feels like it's breaking the rules somehow...

Thanks for the breakdown, I am Blood Angels player and I feel like this with the rage filled warrior captain could be messy. Could even add a priest to the unit to make weapons Ap1 and Ap3 🤔

if you throw a captain with good Enhancement in with sternguard you create an amazing skirmishes unit that can be a real problem solver

I was just looking to put them back into my army as I had kind of slept on the Anti 4+ for the combi with Dev wounds, especially with their change to the re-roll wounds against the oath of moment target. Curious as to your thoughts on which loadout you would use for them. I am thinking Combi for all except for the one taking the Heavy Bolter. Question would also be would you equip the Sergeant with the combi and forgo the Power fist or leave him with the standard Sternguard Bolt Rifle?

I personally think the extra shots from the standard sternguard Bolt rifles and hitting on 3s over the combi weapons 4s. it's slightly less damage against infantry, but marines, and especially blood angels don't really have issues with infantry. so the extra damage against vehicles and monsters can be really beneficial
