Are The Comments Wrong? Did They Actually Get "Shocked "By 480Volts!!

I wouldn't believe 480. Possibly I know I got shocked by work on 240 volt breaker at pannel with hvac capacitor not drained. Thinking duel 60. Have Installated screw drivers now. I also check line/lines if still hot. I seen the bar broken from lots of duel single breaker. If it was 120 wouldn't have hurt as bad granted only at high voltage tell Capacitor drained. Was on stepstool. Best to always pull cut off at hvac first or breaker their so no feed back.

Worst i got hit with so far was 208 working on a Ptac unit. I reached over and my arm hit the Phase on the control board and grounded on the chassis of the unit. LOL fun times.

That'd be the best case scenario because it wouldn't go. Across your heart probably, a good thing, the whole thing happened on one body limb

I use to have Bailers that ran on 480 .. I got socked by480 and it out me in the hospital and It burnt the tips of my toes and fingers and almost killed me and they had to shock me multiple times to get my heart rate back to where it was .. and it was because the some one ran over the cord and damaged it with out telling me so I could fix it all on a rainy day so if you got hit by the full 480 like i did then you are lucky you are alive and not damaged in some way for life like me I still have very little sensation in my fingers and toes and my Baby toes well they are half eh size they use to be as the tips on them blew up .. and i also blame my intermediate studder on that day too

Dang so u got hit by both legs. Most of the time that would be a short and trip the breaker.
