Rossi is the only answer. That's the young center who hasn't been injury prone, who is producing, and whose game looks to synergize with Michkov perfectly. You part with Farabee or Foerster, not both, but one or the other to make this happen so that you can give Michkov the opportunity to develop synergy with the same center for a number of years, the same way Ovechkin had the opportunity to do so next to Backstrom. Send them Farabee/Foerster, Laughton, and Frost to get it done. I'm of the opinion that acquiring the correct player to Center a Michkov line long term is the most important task needing to be completed by this franchise. Putting a player next to him that is already producing at a point per game pace under the age of 25 at the Center position should be org's priority. 3 players might seem like a lot for Rossi, but for him, I'd even throw in a mid-round draft picks to make it happen, Rossi is already what they hope Jett Luchanko might one day be, a point per game player who can both bury the puck when Michkov sets him up and has the vision to set up the absolute sniper that Michkov is himself. Replace your losses via draft and FA going into next season, using this one to give Michkov, Rossi, and what would likely be Owen Tippett time to develop line chemistry to springboard into next season with. Next season you walk into it with a top 6 that looks like Coots, TK, Michkov, Rossi, Tippett, and either Farabee/Foerster, depending on which remains. Your bottom 6 becomes filled with players who gained experience this year and who've proven they can compete at this level (Poehling, Cates, Richard, Brink) a solid vet (Hathaway) and replacement FA's. Combined with another year of development from Cam York, Jamie Drysdale, and Emil Andrae should give the Flyers a solid group of young puck moving defenseman to pair with Sanheim, Seeler, and whomever they sign to replace Rasmus Ristolainen, whom I expect to be traded at the deadline this season for a future draft pick. They would then be in position to be buyers at the next deadline, and potentially to go for it, depending on how this season goaltending situation shakes out, and it doesn't shake out well enough you're going for it the following season with a different goalie and a 22 year old Michkov playing alongside a 25 year old Rossi, both in their early prime, now with line synergy, terrorizing the league.

You're almost making it sound like the other players he mentioned were injury prone? Flyers have been pursuing Pinto for a while and he isn't injury prone.

I think they should be all over Cozens: sky is falling in Buf, they're dealing from a pos of desperate, hes the right age for the rebuild, has size (were already kinda flush w smallish fowards), has a high compete level/rattiness to his game(Not sure how the others would mesh w Torts), his upside is enticing - no shortage of prime assets whose development stalled in Buffalo. Theyre just cursed. LETS GO FLYERS!

Rossi is too small. We need a big 1C. Cozens makes the most sense & he is available. I would trade now for him, before our trade candidates get hurt. Maybe a blockbuster where we get both Cozens & Bryan. I would also trade for Zegras since his value is the lowest, yet his ceiling could be the highest.

Joel Farabee needs a change. I don't believe he fits with Tort's style and system. A block buster would be nice to bring some new hope in Philly. Whatever the trade, I just hope it would be the right fit for the Identity of the Flyers!

Rossi is RFA and Wild with the best season in a long time So I doubt very much that Rossi can be even target After season is over maybe but even than it depend on how Wild season and potential playoff went Same with Rossi he could do a 60 point season ( 100 for last 2 ) So would be an expensive extension

The Flyers will never get close to a Cup until they fire their European Scouting Director. The Flyers are the only team in the league that can’t draft and develop European talent. They got lucky with Michkov but you can’t depend on talent dropping into your lap every draft, you have to scout and find needles in the haystacks.

The only reason those guys are available is cause they’re not good. Cozens makes 7 million, Pinto went 20 games without scoring, Rossi is too small for what he’s going to command in FA, Zegras is injury prone/too small/ lacks compete/one dimensional. Unless it’s for Frost who is gone anyway, what’s the point?

Zegras has a ton of talent so it'd be great if we can get him at his lowest value but I wouldn't give up much for him. Attitude issues, injury issues, productivity issues, also doesn't really play Center full time. Worth looking at but I'm not over the moon about Zegras. Cozens or Rossi would be really nice to have. Cozens needs a change of scenery, Rossi would be very cool except his size on this team would be tough since we're already small in general. I think Beezer and a pick would have to be at the center of any trade.
