What's really nice about the Lions team is that every single player IS a playmaker. Tight ends, wideouts, running backs, offensive linemen, safeties, punt returners, linebackers, edge rushers - EVERYBODY PUTS IN THE WORK. How many other teams do you know where literally over a dozen different players got their hands on the ball to gain yardage? That's incredible.

Most insane thing about Gibbs and Mont, the speed and power duo, is that Gibbs has some POWER too. Dude is an absolute tank flying 20 mph at dudes. I've never seen a back accelerate through the gaps as quickly as he does, and he'll run at anyone. A true dawg and peaking too early? this teams been on a 3-4 year climb. This is THE YEAR they're peaking, and they may continue to 'peak'.

As a lions fan it feels egotistical to say but trying to be objective, from what ive seen the lions are the most well rounded team. From the punter down to the lineman we have what we need. Plus were looking to add a DE that will help this year, but absolutely solidify our Dline next year. Im so excited for this team.

As a Lions fan, the only counter I would offer to any of the points made in the video is that we actually have seen how we'll play with Hutch gone. We let Mason Rudolph throw for 220 yards in the first half, that's what happened. I wouldn't be surprised if Rudolph had an average time to throw of nearly 5 seconds in that game. We desperately need a top tier pass rusher if we want to be able to compete with the likes of the Ravens and the Chiefs. Hell, just imagine what Josh Allen would do to us if we gave him a full game without any sort of pressure.

I have been a fan of this team for more than 50 years. I've taken more than my share of guff for staying with em. I watched every snap of that 0-16 season. The only time I waivered was when Sheila brought Sweet Pea and Bluto back for an additional season after it was clear they were a total mess. I actually walked away and said I would not return until the man from glad was off the sidelines and Quinn was running a Starbucks somewhere. That year in exile taught me I could live without football. Fair enough. Then, when I watched Coach Campbell's first presser I was like; "Oh yeah, I'm all-in again." This time I caught hell for letting one press conference where the guy talked about biting kneecaps rope me in but I knew Sheila had also hired Chris Spielman to help her out and I trusted him. And how could you not love a guy willing to stand up there on day one and say ya all have been handed enough BS over the years so we're not gonna do that. We're gonna find guys who if you knock em down will come back nastier. It's hard for people outside of the market to really get what this means to the fanbase and if we seem a bit like fish out of water, well this is totally uncharted territory for us. Brad Holmes and Coach Campbell have built a team based very specific character traits. It reminds me of Kurt Russel in the movie Miracle where he tells the assistant coach; "I'm not looking for the best players, I'm looking for the right players." As for peeking early, one thing Coach has stressed from the day he arrived is wins in October and November matter just as much as wins in December when it comes to playoff seeding. He is keeping his foot on the accelerator because he wants the road to the Super Bowl to run through Ford Field. And while there will be some bumps and twists along the way, teams are gonna have to bring their A+ game to beat these guys. They were 30 minutes away from a Super Bowl berth last year but they were young and the moment got too big for em. The biggest factor was it was a road game. One thing about Coach, he's not one to make the same mistake twice, and neither is his team. They know. And they have been on a mission since last January. As a long-time fan I can only say this is freaking awesome. Go get em guys, bite those kneecaps and bring home that Lombardi. You will never pay for another meal in the state of Michigan again. Campbell Way and Holmes Drive. Those two street names have a nice ring to em. That parade will dwarf anything the Tigers, Pistons, or Red Wings pulled off. Trust me on that.
